Seems MA has tried to keep his nose clean and dedicate himself to doing well.
I wonder how many years he needs to do this before the masses are willing to
let the past go. I highly doubt he had anything to do with the stupidity of some of
those close to him recently. How many non-factory guys are getting his results?
I think had he been on a factory bike his results would have been even better.
With all the new talent, I don't think a factory ride will ever be available to him
again but he for sure is still fast.

I agree but alot of people in this thread think he is slow because he is not smoking these kids and they dont realise that these kids he is racing are very fast.

The intensity between a local race and a national are to totally different atmospheres, Throw that same pack of kids into 30 plus 2 and i think you would see where alessi would excel over everyone

it amazes me , that people ,think he could nt win races in the 250 s , how many time s this year did he beat barica by a mile , a lot , but yet ever thinks barica is a god on here , when really , bar 3 races barica was a really non factor this yr , he got 3rd threw consistency, lest MA 800 had the speed, to run top 3 in the 450 s a good few time s this yr at the start of the yr , but yet people can see him only getting only 5th to 10 th , in the 250 s, like him or not , the guy is very very fast

how many wins had barcia had.....?? got holeshot won phoenix ......... i think he got holeshot @ seattle to but still he beat villy..... even in mx...... bracia somewhat could keep pace with dungey & villy , alessi had problems with the bike & some bad luck throught the year but come on now & when gets on the 250 aint no way hes goona beat wilson & musquin

i am not talking super cross , and everyone know s mike is never going to win there , barcia only kept pace with with dungey in 3 races this yr , and was never near villo , mike had a good few 3rd at the start of the yr , yea i think he could beat wilson and musquin ,he was the only guy last yr who could show a wheel to dungey , and won 1 race , the guy is quick , i not a huge fan of his but i have to respect that he is a very quick rider , any rider who can get a 3rd this in the 450 class , has to be taken serious , if he goes back to the 250 s

Yeah its a good thing we arent talking about supercross though. And as far as somewhat keeping pace with the Ryan's? If getting smoked by 45sec 90% of the moto's is somewhat keeping the pace, yeah Barcia is right there

imo only , i do not take alessi serious when he goes back to the 250 s & no when wilson is on his game , your not touching him, as a fan of wilson , deano is goona have his bad races here & there but still can make something out of that bad race. as far as barcia goes , the way i saw it is , barcia would hang on to villy in the first what 5 - 10 mins of the race where as dungey had his on & off moments but dungey's style is where its seems that barcia can hang with dungey than you think

I think Mike is just out having fun on a bike. 250 or 450 who cares - he is out riding.
I would believe he could not even race the 250 in any AMA race as I think there are rules that prohibit that. I am too lazy to look them up but it has something to do with getting so many points in the 450's means no racing in the 250's.

All in all - good for Mike having fun. And I hope Pourcel does come back - would be cool to see him race again.

MA 800 plus 250 = 8TH TO 15TH with the kids on 250's. He is a much better rider on a 450.
