Never was the case until they needed to gin up a going away party for Everts in 06.

You're the last person that ought to be trotting out the word arrogant around here, Bulmer.
I don't post here much Michael (and it'll probably be a lot less now that a sympathetic admin is on vacation), but when I do... I enjoy chipping away at that ivory tower you've built up

it's all good though, i'll see you for a beer in Teutschenthal after all the action has unfolded and they've handed out those plastic trophies, and a bigger silver one and we can discuss how one-sided the 2015 mxon will be

No tower; the only chips are on your shoulder.

As far as 2015, as the Italians and the French know too well, being home favorites doesn't always work out.

Advertisers from KTM, FMF, One Industries, Alpinestars, Honda, Youthstream, Fox Racing, UFO, Leatt, Polisport, and more. I think I have respect enough from the right people.

I pretty much give here what I get. I still remember mentioning that I felt Chad Reed and Grant Langston would have major success in America, way back in 2000 and 2001, I was called an idiot, a fool, totally off the wall, and a bunch of stuff I pretty much laughed at every day.

It is like hitting your head against a brick wall here. Because at the end of the day there is only one place on this earth, and anyone who doesn't live or race there must be a lower life form.

Wait . . . Geoff only now showed up for the first time in months to talk crap after RV stepped out?
? i never talked crap about RV not riding.
Okay, in fairness my mistake (and that's not what I meant, but no matter).

I had not read the post from that idiot bagging on Cairoli for not coming to the states, which brought you in. Anyone that questions Cairoli's competitive courage and talent is as dumb as rocks. I expect that earned the forum a dose of Geoff (which is now raging like an out of control case of the clap).

I think RV is the fastest guy right now, but that's a beer-in-the-garage bench racing opinion. Anyone that doesn't appreciate that Cairoli and Herlings are elite riders on top of their game who are capable of winning any race they line up for on any surface against any riders, including RV and the best American riders and the best non-American's racing in the states, has a seriously distorted sense of reality.

No, I wrote it so I know to whom it was aimed. It was aimed at mccread and mxjeff.

AC222 and Herlings already know that RV2 would open up a 55 gallon drum of ass whip and pour it all over them. They don't need me to tell them that.

That one was aimed squarely at youWink

Second that (in that beer bench opinion I think AC would beat RV in the GPs, while RV would beat AC in the US).

The problem is that dissing riders to try to get at someone who posts on a board is just bad news, and really just leaves you in the same mud hole as the person you're going after.

Nothing like a little trash talking before the big raceWink

Don't you watch any other sports? People talk trash all the time. No doubt AC222 and Herling are total badasses. They know that too.

But RV= another levelCool

Oh, wait, yes, I remember now, wasn't it that Caarolli guy the fella that won motos at the MXoN in 2006, 2009 and two in 2012? From memory he has won more motos in MXoN from the last 8 years than any other rider and he is usually pretty crap at that race. Villy has also won 4 motos since 2006 and Dungey 3, Paulin 2 and Townley 2. Total moto wins AMA 13, FIM 11.....Second rate series, who said that?
So your using the AMA vs the GP riders in the MXdN for your argument on which series is better?
How many top GP riders have had to stay home because there was no room on their home team? RV, RD, Barcia, Canard, Tomac, Bagget, Stewart, DM, Osborne, all could make a real good run at the front but 6 of them will be staying home.
How many more wins would the AMA have if they sent their 20 best riders regardless of country?
Hard to say but that argument holds no water if every top GP guy goes and some of the top AMA stay home.

X100...Really bragging when 3 AMA riders vs 90 FIM riders and you still point out AMA has more moto wins. Not sure what he was trying to show there?

It's always been that way. Our 3 riders......vs every single country combined. Our 3 riders vs the rest of the world.......then some of those dudes come in here and say " But your country is bigger "........at the MXoN's race.......I thought the GP fans didn't really care who won....as long as it isn't the Americans.

That about sum it up?

FWIW........I don't have to try and make our riders look better by trash talking or insinuating that they are "Above" the level of the GP riders. Guys like Geoff get off on rubbing it in when our guys don't win something.....like a particular moto , or individual class. The O/A MXoN's championship means nothing......if the Americans win it. But it means EVERYTHING we they do win it.

On here talking shit.........and it aint even his fucking country that's winning! Dude sounds like Charlie Sheen.

How can anyone even come close to saying that HERLINGS is the best in the world. The guy won't even move up from a class that restricts who can ride in it to face the fastest people in Europe. Give me a break. I am not sure how that class is even a World Championship anymore. If you win a series that restricts who can race in a class so that young kids can race against lesser competition, no way in hell can you lay claim to being anywhere near the fastest even if you damn well might be. That championship is like a regional SX lites championship now. Its cool and all and the people who win are damn good, but if they were really the best they wouldn't mess around riding with lesser talent.

Herlings is awesome, maybe the best of his generation, but shying away from meaningful competition of a real actual series and not just some one off race where he has no pressure and nothing to loose makes him kind of coward to me and I am sure many other fans.

So where would RV have finished in Lommel?
If it was a GP you could've added another 3.laps too-ouch

Its part of the GP circuit like,Leirop which is up soon, many believe its a bit tougher,RV would have to race these and the other traditional tracks, sure he'd win some but do you seriously think he'd be having things as easy as he is in the US,where he's smashing most of the other Americans by a minute or so?

Every time I see these "Us versus Them" Butt-Sore Europe versus America threads...

I think of Magoo, Bee Stings and Graham Noyce ranting about "drugs" when Danny had to get his epi-shot.

So, lets re-cap: Team USA. Still in the running since 1981 & winning 22 out of the last 30.

Then there's the argument that we have sooooo many more pro racers & opportunity...

Yes.

We do.

So come on over & join the party.

Uh, yes.

And another thing: you have fewer guys that would finish on the lead lap.

Count on it.

We've got 60-80 guys fighting for a slot on the starting gate. Only 40 of them get to go. Take a look at the lap times of the guys that DON'T MAKE THE SHOW...versus the bottom 10 guys that DO MAKE IT ON THE GATE AT YOUR GPs. Have you guys even had 40 Riders in a GP...didn't you clip it to 30? You guys still have that 105% rule?

And another thing: how many of your guys are within 2-5 seconds a lap of your top 1-3 riders in MX1 & 2?

We are sending 3 of our fastest guys. They'll probably prove all of my points...,

Again.

Not sure anyone did say Herlings is the fastest rider in the World. To say something like that he would need to smoke the best Americans, similar to what he did in Lommel last year, but this time on hard pack. If he doesn't do that, then he sure ain't the best in the World.

comparing mx2 to a 'lites' regional supercross championship? didn't jimmy decotis finish top 5 in a regional supercross championship? how did he get on in gps? be interesting to hear jimmy d, micheal lieb and Zach Osborne talk about how slow the mx2 gp class is.

cant remember many American riders moving up to 450s at 18 either- why should herlings move up?

The AMA pick the 3 best riders fom the whole of the AMA scene across the USA,the GP series doesn't get to do that as far as the team race goes as the GPseries is split into 20 countries or more, the US always have a huge advantage in that respect and are al ways favorites

As for the US guys v 90 riders, well there's probably less than 10 riders at the whole event that are capable of winning a race, which includes the 3 top American riders who we hear all year round about being the fastest anyway

It makes fhe individual match ups great, those giuy are all going out for the win too,its been years since anyone could back off and think about the "team".
