To clarify, AlliSports kinda through us all for a loop when they waited until inbetween 1st and 2nd motos to tell us (on their twitter) that the 2nd moto stream would only be avail to those who have the "verified" TV providers.

I was surprised we could watch the practice stream, as THAT was the one we knew all along that it would only be for the verified accounts.

The 2nd moto deal was a bummer. Hopefully that can be remedied for future broadcasts?
What's frustrating is that as a Verizon FIOS customer I should have access to it yet I didn't. I don't know who's at fault but in this day and age there simply shouldn't be problems such as this. Frankly in situations like this sufficient testing should have been done to insure customer satisfaction. I think what has so many people up in arms is that this seems to be a yearly experience and that alone has so many people upset.

I understand that having this on TV in theory brings the sport to new audiences. There should be an option though for pay for view so people can put out some cash to insure a commercial free viewing.

I still don't understand something.

I have Direct TV here. And in my package deal I get Fuel and NBCSC. When I jumped on the NBCSC website and it asked me to choose which "service provider" I was using.....Direct TV wasn't even on the list.

That is what made it so frustrating for me. I pay about $100.00 a month to have the full ass kicking TV service here at home.....and "pay" to have NBCSC. Why on earth doesn't NBCSC recognize Direct TV as one of their providers?

Direct TV is probably the biggest TV provider in the country along side Comcast..

I've looked through a bunch of threads and not one person has come up with an answer for this. I'm going to actually write NBCSC tomorrow morning and let them know my feelings on this ( in a professional way ).......It's not right , and I can't help but feel a little jipped for something I "paid" for.

Can someone explain how I pay for the NBCSports channel on Cox Communications and yet I'm not on a "verified" tv provider?

Davey is there no way red bull can show the races on their Internet channel seeing as they are the title sponsor? They did it for the GPs if I remember correctly a few years ago, and already have the red bull tv mobile apps available to everyone across the world.

I understand NBC seem to be restricting thing but surely a company the size of red bull being the title sponsor they could maybe help pull a few strings?

...even if next year something could be arranged that they take control of the streaming or else pay per view , I would gladly pay decent money to watch

Yeah and when the airtime was miscommunicated you where pissed-off aswell. Things where promised and not delivered by allisports in the end. THAT is what the commotion is all about.

Now you just go sit in a corner and jibber about how we all are spoiled and how hard life was in the old days.

DC, you singlehandedly ruined OUR sport! hahah just kidding. I must say it was a bit of a let down because I also assumed 2nd motos were live and left the party early (I'm in europe right now) to go Watch moto. ( i was a horrible guest anyway constantly looking at livetimeing on the phone).
So being the ladies man that I am I probably missed out on some action because of your error.. you know it's all good because even if it's just first motos , it's still free, it's awesome and the best racing in the world so all in all I'm quite happy. And if you do manage to get all motos to stream live, even better.

Still very glad to have a guy like DC in our corner, good luck with the rest of the year, looking to be a hell of a season!

jeffro. before you send that letter, make a post here so I can add my name. directv customer for 10 years, and I was way disappointed. to me, this was a payback to directv for some sort of deal gone bad, Viacom maybe? directv has more subscribers than dish, and is close to Comcast in size.

While I can understand NBC Sports wanting to increase it's "subscriber" base to it's Extra Live streams, I cannot comprehend how a company would not inform the companies it contracts with how they were going to manipulate access so that a large portion of those wanting to use the service would not be able to.

Full disclosure on NBC's part as well as proper due diligence on MxSports part should have shaken this out well in advance.

Yep,the money that funds the sport at the highest levels just grows on trees.
It's not like there is a money trail that leads back to the fans that follow it religiously or anything like that.
It's not like these fans fund the series with ticket purchases and supporting inside industry sponsors or sponsors from outside the industry that support this sport...
I could go on an on,but I'm sure you get the point.
To most hardcore fans, every AMA Pro race day is like Superbowl Sunday. Smile
Today some guys got the first half and then didnt get the second half.
Wonder how well that would go over if they did that in higher profile sporting events...an NFL event like the Superbowl?
My guess is a lot of people would be pissed off.
But hey how much did they pay?
Probably not the best way to bring in more fans or sponsors to grow it.

The saddest part is,most hardcore MX fans would indeed pay for a online stream of the nationals - that is how passionate they are. Wink
yep the same money that you used to have to wait a week for cycle news (that you paid for) to come out to find out results and then later 1-800-inf-moto

getting it for free is a luxury not a benefit

there were some snafu's but in the grand scheme of things it'll be ok and I am sure it will be fixed

I am also sure that this is not the first time we were promised something and didn't receive it (I didn't by the way)

I am a "hardcore fan" (whatever that means) and see the weekend race as just that a weekend race, not a Super bowl of some sorts. Would be nice to live near you though to attend the party every week and drink up all the beer and chips that you might provide for FREE...

Hmmm.... Didn't even the Superbowl have some sort of technical difficulties this year? Granted, they eventually got it straightened out, but, the point is that stuff happens. This will get straightened out too.

For me being an international viewer, I just cannot understand the system. You have the 1st motos for free and online, fantastic! Then why the hell does it fall apart for the 2nd motos, what is stopping you doing the exact same thing for thing for the 2nd motos? Use allisports, not this NBC BS. Stream it like it was last year. Of course everyone in America would rather watch it on their TV's, as would I. But I just cannot believe that it's not even live online for everyone? At the very least it has to be live online, then move into getting a permentant spot on TV as well.

It baffles me that the best motocross series in the world cannot even put together a package for International and American viewers to watch it live, at least online. It's not a difficult concept, christ even Youthstream can do it, and we all know how useless they are. This is what is really bringing down motocross, why the hell would sponsors bother to spend money, if they know they will only get half the events coverage. No wonder some teams don't bother outdoors.

It has been said before, but we would pay to watch it online! We pay to watch Gp's, and that is the some of the most dated and terrible tv coverage I have seen. The show mxsports puts together is great, but what is the point if nobody gets a chance to see it on the day?

Also, the first motos happened almost 20 hours ago, where are the replays allisports? I missed the first motos and followed on Twitter, expecting to be able to come back and watch the 2nd motos, I have waited months for this, for the clown show that is Supercross to be over and to watch the real racing, btw great job Kenny.

Allisports can put together a highlight package of the the 1st motos, but not upload the whole thing? Just skip editing that thing and upload it, we will appreciate that way more than a 3 minute video. It's the first round, I want to watch every second of this.

I really hope this can be sorted for the rest of the series, but I doubt it.

Thers a possibility that is not NBCSC either but rather your service provider (Direct TV) chose not to participate in the live streaming?( I think that IS where the problem lies) I would make the call to them first and follow up with the letter.

To use a TV service provider log in to watch online content is total horse shit.

Its like petting your dog to make your wife feel good.

Its like starting your truck to drive your car.

Its like taking a dump in the sink when you needed to piss.

Its like sending a text message to remind yourself to text your mom.

Its like buying a moped to clear the triple.

Its like assless chaps.

Its like I have to have a paid water bill to get into a concert.

Its like Stephen Hawking singing Stevie Wonder's Superstition.

Forget this, going riding..

I don't think you guys understand.

DC's phone holds up the entire Allisports network. When the phone died, our coverage went off. Simple.

I saw him dragging this around the pits.
