I have Been thinking about going to every outdoor national this summer.

Recently divorced and bored.. So I checked and can fly to everyone one of these using mostly my Skymiles I have been collecting for years. Fly in on Fridays and out Sunday, so I don’t have to take too many days off of work, and find cheap hotels and rental cars.

Am I nuts? Should I do this?

Absolutely should do it, can't think of a better way to spend the Summer than following the MX nationals. I wasn't planning on going to Hangtown, because I'm flying out to Kauai on May 20th, but this has been such a great SX series that I can't wait until Washougal to see a National. If you can do it, I think it's a great idea.

Yea! Why the hell not? If you haven't really got anything else going on, then I say do it. It's on my bucket list to do one day.

Well I am committed for Hangtown. That's step 1.

Have the plane ticket and rental car setup for Sacramento. Lots of Hotel choices.any suggestions..

I guess I buy the tickets at the gate? That's the way I have always done it before, but is that a good idea for all outdoor events?

I say go to a couple rounds if that's your thing but if you want to see a real show you should follow the supercross series next year. That's where the real men will be racing. Good luck with whatever you choose to do.

I think you will be seeing the same 450 riders and ALL the 250 riders outdoors. Same real men in both series.

Stay out in Folsom or El Dorado Hills. You'll be at the track in 15.

...or check into buying a credential from Mx Sports.
They are well worth it if you are going to a lot of them and you get ALL(most) access.

I always wanted to hit every national , i thought it would be cool to get like a baby food jar size of dirt from each track and build a nice display with the jars and label them .

Last time I checked they were the same "Real men" in both series. Been to many many supercrosses and always love them but they are interchangeable. Stadiums are all pretty much the same inside. Every national has a lot more unique flavor.

X2....Stupidcross doesn't even come close to MX for spectator viewing/money spent. Way more to see and do. I'm crossing the border for the third year in a row and heading to Washougal. I used to do Seattle SX, and even did A2 one year. Then I went to Washougal one year and have never wanted to go to another SX again.

I would absolutely do it!! (esp.after being recently divorced- nothing like moto-therapy......braaaaap) I have already started on the dirt collection, so far I have Una-fckn-dilla, Southwick, Budds Creek RRRREEEDDDD BBBUUUUDDDDDDDD, Freestone, and Lakewood. To be able to do them all in one season would be epic!

When my wife and I split up, our wedding anniversary was the same day as the F1 race in Brazil. So I went to the race, and then spent a couple of weeks touring Colombia on the way back. Much better than moping around at home..

If you are going to hit all of them, I would recommend that you make friends with one of the privateers. I am sure that there is a rider that could use your help on Saturdays, even if it is just washing bikes and cleaning gear. You will get the very best access to the tracks and riders, plus have an experience that you will remember forever.
