I'm really bummed for him too.

I was pulling for him for SX but can't hate on Hahn or Musquin, both good dudes!

I wonder what this means for him outdoors? Good thing he has a 2 year deal but he's been through alot lately. Dang!

Some habits die hard. i was chatting with Blake Wharton in the airport this afternoon, and he called it the same thing.

It's hard not to call it the "Lights" after all these years. I really don't mind it but I thought it was funny when it was said on the broadcast since the AMA (or whoever) made such a big deal about the name. Was it Duke Finch?

I'm just jealous. I don't get to the races very often much less get to talk to the guys. Of course I don't get paid millions of dollars to hobnobSilly

The only sport on earth where us fans are happy because a participant has ONLY broken ribs and a colapsed lung.

I'm bummed for Dean. Hes kind of a momentum, confidense guy. And his momentum was already fading before this confidense saping injury.

Was/is he for sure racing the 450 outdoors?

Pretty sure I heard seperate rig for Dean and Tyla come outdoors for the 450's.

I know Dean said he was on a Pro Circuit 450 next year.

+1 on the chest protector. Hope Dean recovers soon and it sucks to see anyone injured. What makes it worse is when injuries occur that could be prevented or at least mitigated by wearing protective equipment. Not saying Dean wouldn't have hurt himself with a chest protector on, but the injury level might not have been as severe. This trend of pros wearing nothing but a cotton jersey over their vital organs is fucking stupid in a sport like this, not to mention a horrible example to up-and-coming riders.

Dean's only 5 points back. If he wins and Hahn gets 3rd, he's back tied for the points lead. He's right in the middle of the championship, how are people writing him off with so much racing left to go? I want Hahn to win, but Deano will be there til the end.
How can he be down by only 5 points when he was already in second place going into Indy, and didn't score any additional points that night?

On another note,get well Dean.
