Congrats to Marvin on his first win. It was good to finally see him on the top of the box. His launch off the gate was epic!

its nice to see a guy EARN the top spot, and earn it he did

i was watching bell on the start. and honestly thought bell had a shocking start and wondered how he came out of the first corner so well, then they showed how quick marvin shot out of the gates.

I think Marvin is going to show something in outdoors. His riding is technically near-perfect, he picks great lines, rides smart, takes what the track gives him and never slows down until the checkers wave. He's not quite agro enough for a typical SX racer, but as a MX rider it would be hard to find anyone better. In fact, I think the combination of Marvin, Roczen and Dungey is brilliant for outdoors, and they could possibly sweep both titles.

Marvin and Kroc will do well where the tracks are rutted out, and a little loamy/loose dirt, were you can`t go all out but need a little throttle controll. That is the experience and advantage they bring with them from Europe, and it showed at Unadilla last year.

With regular American tracks they seem to have a little less intensity/agressiveness compared to the Americans. My point being, Musquin had an advantage at Daytona, and he made the best of it. SO happy for him, and you could tell he was thrilled about it too! Smile

Mushy killed it. The kid was near perfect from beginning to end. That is the kind of ride we dream about having.

Great to see Marvin win Daytona! He seems like a very cool guy, very funny and very unlike what we've seen of most French riders on these shores. I love the way he just can't seem to stop talking when he's on the microphone! Did you see his tech behind him when Erin was interviewing him right after the finish? He kept on, and on, and on, and on...and the tech looked like he was thinking "dude, will you please just shut up?" Laughing

I am surprised nobody is accusing him of "jumping the gate". Stupid, bogus phrase anyway.
Marvin played that start PERFECTLY. That is an indescribably awesome feeling to get a start like that, and realize that nobody is anywhere near you going down the start straight.
Also, I love the guy's genuine passion. He is not too cool to show some emotion.
WELL DONE, Marvin!

Solid ride by that kid. Glad to see him do it. That jump on the gate looked like he was the guy in charge of the gate drop! ...lol.

What a great ride! It was so cool to see how genuinely excited he was after that win. I am betting that he threw the wood to Matilda pretty hard after that win lastnite! Way to go Marvin!!!

This is the type of racing you get to see when you have a track that has more then just a line or tow to choose, Also Daytona get really rutted & rough, so the smart & fit racers will shine!

I would like to see more Sx tracks built like this. make the track rough & rutted & forget the bag ass triple jumps & you get tighter racing. just like Daytona!

My favorite part was the old school heelclicker at the finish.

Probably one of the best guys out there on the track. I'm so glad the he finally got to stand on the very top of that podium!

Something that pissed me off though was when he was celebrating with the fans after the race, you know the usual waving at the fans at the fence situation. A few guys decided that giving Marv the finger was a great idea, too bad that they only had the balls to do it when he already had passed them. Classy move, morons....

First time in a LONG time I wasn't at Daytona this year, stayed home and watched it on tv with the wife. Watched the start Marvin got, turned to her and said "well this one's over"-

And the kid just ripped off lap after lap with no errors on a nasty track-

Awesome job for Marvin. When I witnessed him totally mop everyone up at the Glen Helen USGP, I knew he was destined for greatness. Hope he kills em outside this summer.
