How do you guys think Alessi feels about Reed joining team? Alessi seemed to be the top dog but now you got Reed in the mix. Kind of a weird decision that Reed is going to Makita Suzuki but exciting nonetheless. Next year is going to be great with Reed on new team and Bubba on new team but I still wonder how Alessi is feeling about the whole thing.
The Shop
DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
Luxon 4-Post Bar Mounts
$189.95 - $239.95
The same goes for Mike, indoors...Reed, is the SX superior of the two, and will be a force, but I think Suzuki's plan is pretty clear. A Title indoors, and a Title outdoors.
I guess it's a moot point (not mute) though, since Reed will maybe make a couple guest appearances if we're lucky, and that's about it.
One more thing, I dontthink Mike cares who is on the team.
Pit Row
If Langston was racing I don't think Alessi would not have quite so many second place finishes this year. The talent pool thinned out and he made his way up to second fastest in the nationals.
Everyone seems to think Alessi made a great leap forward this year because he led Stewart for few laps at some races. Stewart did not panic when Mikey holeshot because he knew that he had him covered on speed and would still be in front when it counted.
When RV gets into 450 MX next year Mike may take a step down on the pecking order. RV has learned how to win and dominate at the pro-level, something Mike has not been able to do.
This is also just bench racing theory which has yet to be tested and proven.
I'd compare it to an NFL quarterback who has a contract to only play in the games that take place in a dome.
SX=WWE
MX=MMA
If MX was televised and produced better like sx is people would be able to see how much better it is than SX.
