I definitely consider that to be one of my favorites. Marty Smith was my favorite rider then.

Where'd you find that? That's one of my photos. David Bailey ran it in color on his site some years ago.

That's the corner at the top of the Magoo Double jump at Saddleback in '83. Johnson took out Bailey's front wheel and put Bailey down. Bailey gave Johnson a 1-finger salute as he picked up his bike.

Has anyone posted the pic of Hannah and Howerton from the "Massacre at Saddleback" yet?

They say "a pic is worth 1000 words" Well that one you could write a book on!

Congrats on the great photo Bigfoot. Had no idea. I've had it saved on my phone for awhile now. Can't remember where I loaded from. Great story you have there. Any plans on selling any prints?

I don't know who took this photo originally, however IMO it redefined what is possible on a dirtbike: (I cant find a larger version sorry).

I'd like to produce some large prints, but so far have only found a small print. The original negative isn't in the sleeve with the rest of the pics from that day. I've got s'more digging to do! Also MIA are my slides from the '76 Saddleback Trans Am. There are some nice pics in there of Decoster, Weil, Wolsink, Watanabe, Lackey, Aberg and more.

That's some bad luck Bigfoot. Sorry to hear. If anything pops up, keep me in the loop please. Sounds like you have some great history

I hate when that happens . . .

Here's a couple others that are tasty.

Another Stone shot:

Here's a couple more that would be worthy inclusions in book of 100-200 noteworthy moto pics (historical or aesthetic categories, Steed Wink ).

This was one I took at the 2006 Glen Helen National of Bubba in the Charmichael pressure cooker pulling a tear off right before heading down the Mt Whitney hill. I know the exposure sucks......

Mickey Boone? Bruce McDougal? Doesn't appear to be Smitty, Tomahawk, Bimbo, or Jones...

Never publicly acknowledged as such, because, in this sport- it would be taboo - but my pic of RC - at RED BUD -

is by far - THE TOP mx pic ever.

This is Geboers in '89. He was in the 250cc class in 1987.
