I know we have some core moto guys here that know the sport inside out. Who here would rather listen to what Weigandt has to say over Ralph? Just an honest question.

I'd take Weege any day of the week...

I don't care about his background or whatever, fact is, he's really really good on the MX broadcast, knows the sport, doesn't make mistakes and is as comfortable as anyone.

He could do it, should just be given the chance!

Ralph is great, best we've had in a while, but Weege's knowledge and questions are on point - Way better for the moto fan and general fan alike

Nobody rocks harder or rides harder than Shaheen.

In all seriousness he does a good job.

Weege it to the booth what MC was to a SX track, a natural.

Exactly. I don't mind Ralph at all, and if Emig/Ricky stop their playful jabs (it got pretty bad last year) the current SX broadcast team is very good, but Weege is really on another level compared to all of them. He is a natural at anything I've heard him commentate on.

I'm waiting for Musberger...

"Now folks, thats a good looking Monster girl. Would you look at that. Any young southern California boys out there, get out on the back forty and have dad build you a little sx track and start practicing because I'm here to tell ya..."

They are both good. Listen to the PulpMX podcast with Ralph and you'll have a better opinion of him.

Ralph is good but he always seems to produce at least one awkward moment per race.

Ralph does really well for the general public and we need that. Everyone makes mistakes here and there but I think Ralph and Weege in the past have done really well correcting and keeping the show going. Emig and RC are my heroes and are doing great besides the "why for and gots". It's fine the way it is but I'm thinking Weege, Ralph and Holley would be a good combo for a season.

I would prefer to see Weege in Erin's place.
I'm not a big fan if hers. I think Ralph does a great job too.

Weege, I'm a pretty big fan of his sense of humor. That said, Ralph is great too. Imagine having a producer talking into your headset, listening to the other guys in the booth, while simultaneously thinking up what you are going to say next - for three solid hours! Not an easy task.

Weege would knock him out like Friese did DL's future son in law. Metaphorically speaking of course.

Kevin Barnett kills it in the preview stream with Holley. I think he would be perfect for Ralph's spot.
I don't mind Ralph most of the time though...

Anyone would be grasping at straws to find something to talk about this year in the mains. Until CR, KW, RD, JS, and RV start going for the win what story line do they have? I care more about the camera crew's performance since I don't listen to the announcers. I mute my front center speaker and crank my rear 7.1 speakers so I only hear the bikes and crowd. Of course I move them next to the screen for immersion purposes. As far as the question I would prefer they both choose a different line of work. I can't stand either. My vote would be Grant Langston on a full on bender. That would be entertainment.

Ralph isn't bad but Weege 1000x over. He doesn't sound too glossy and overproduced and knows the sport like the back of his hand. Send Ralph back to the swamp buggies (sorry Ralph). Plus, he'd never wear a red button up shirt like Ralph did last night.

Ralph scored some points in my book because of that interview with Stewart.
Ralph: "Tell us honest what the injury is?"
James: "The first practice went great and ..."

Weege is much more knowledgeable about the sport. For everyone on this board, we'd prefer Weege. For the average crowd that happens to be tuning into SX at the time, they'd probably prefer Sheheen. He's really improved since 06 though.

YOu bring up a good point about the Camera performance. Id like to see the production team to step up. I remember when RV and TC were comming up on millsaps and reed and they switched to Barcia leading for about a lap. We want to see the battles for crying out loud!

Heres a solution I pose: Lets say in the LCQ or Heats, lets split screen the finish and the battle for the last qualifier spot

Crap, disregard that last post. For some reason whenever I sign in the browser jumps to another thread. Weird.

Bring back Art Eckman!
I am all for that as long as Bailey comes with him.

I think they both do a great job but Jason has way more knowledge of the sport and brings more to the table.
