Maybe not one of the best ever, but I've always thought it was one of the "coolest".

Yes, at first I thought was Brooks, but pretty sure its Kehoe.

These are the best threads. IMO

I have googled pretty hard, but can't find the poster of Ricky on a Kawi whipping in front of MC during opening ceremonies.

I like this one-

Coolest ever! We where sure they "tricked" the photo. Next weekend we tried to do the same. Myself got the rubbergrip in my hand and flatlanded my Husky sideways, sitting on the top of the wreck it became. My friend taking picture missed of course because he wanted to see the crasch he "knew" was coming !?!? Those where the days with a big heart and a small body. Today it's a small heart and a big body.Laughing

Another one I can't find: Ricky Carmichael on the PC Kawi doing a look over at Ping, I think it is. It's a .gif and it's priceless. May not belong in this thread tho.

And yes, it is true, these are the threads that make this place worth the fee!

The Magoo pic, while I used to like it, now only reminds me of his career ending crash which also happened doing a whip over the finish line. Depressing, because he was such a character. I'd love to see where he would have ended up in his career if not for that.

The Hannah, DeCoster, Smith photo; simply brings back the feeling of being a child again when the only thing that mattered was riding and trying to be like you heros. And those three guys are all-time heros to me. Kinda get a high just lookin' at that pic.

Personaly I dont think it is. Old MX and black and white photos just don't do it for me. I'd rather look at modern bikes rather than old peices of crap.

Thanks for posting, my all time favorite.. Never say die attitude, amazing picture..

I don't have any pics on hand but I'd throw up the one of RC pointing at MC over a triple on the opening lap.. This was from RC 's Suzuki days and MC 's second stint at honda.

I love it too, it's so amazing, talk about something you would most likely never see these days. The closest I can think of is Dungey's hand shifter.

Isn't that Kehoe doing the skyshot?

(My tired old eyes can't make out the numbers. Did Kehoe wear #22?)

Old pieces of crap, oh no you didn't. Why did you have to dirty such a great thread with your ignorance.

Have the real poster framed and hanging in my garage.
Thought about trying to get MC to sign it, but chickened out.

There is a photo that I'm surprised I don't see in this thread, cant remember the two riders but they are banging bars in a corner, it was a popular photo, I want to say Weinert and Tripes, but not sure.
I think the pic you are talking about is Jimmy Weinert and Tony D.

That's the one! The little gizmo on MC's helmet always cracks me up too.

It is Kehoe, and I knew he was one of the riders in the picture. I just put a quick description, but you guys are right, this is more a pic of Kehoe than McGrath.

Can't even imagine what is going through McGraths head in that shot.
He's on HIS parade lap. The pyro on his helmet malfunctioned and he's
trying to get it to work. Then this young punk flies up and shows him
his drain plug. No respect
