The contrast between the riding skills of Enslow and MC is mindblowing.

No kidding! Seth seems cool enough, but he just pins it and hucks whatever. MC was a fucking technician. Blows my mind to this day some of the stuff he did. Not that his '95 CR wasn't trick, but it's still almost two decades old, so it's amazing to see a guy doing the stuff he did on 18 year old gadgetry.

The landing looks a little smaller, but I think that double at 2:08 is the one that Ridge did his leg in on.

I'm at school, can't watch the video. Is it a behind the scenes video?

Focus on class, sheesh.

Its amazing to see how far riding skill has progressed.
Still those guys were world class riders back then.
Seth seems like he is not quite sure whats going on, and a bit of a victim lol... He built a career out of it so it cant be that bad I guess.
MC is clearly the best rider in the world back then, as someone else said above, hes a technician.
Cheers for the link OC Scottie, made my day Smile

Now I live here and no one is jumping over abandoned houses :/
Haha! That house is long gone. There's a housing development on that land now, complete with a man-made lake. At least it's really close. The house is definitely gone though.

Still lots of freeriding in Beaumont and Ocotillo Wells.

First I ever heard of this movie I was working at Dominos Pizza in Big Bear. A snowboarder friend of mine was hanging out at the skate/board shop at the bottom of Summit Rd below Snow Summit Ski Resort and they were playing Crusty on a screen. He came in to Dominos and said this, "DUDE DUDE, I know you are into moto right? Well you gotta see this video where they gave these snowboarders some dirtbikes and they just went off on video!!".. LoL.

This is the best example of why leatt brace are useless and they hurt people.
This guys were crazy and they did like 10 more of these videos and they are are walking and alive.
Of course the level now is better but this guys were jumping crazy shit and crashing and no one is paralyzed.

I remember being out at Reche Canyon riding a lot during those days when someone would bring a video camera and just start filming random stuff, and some of it was so hilarious! I remember the part where the old junker car gets flipped, wish they had put more of that footage in. First off if you saw the supposed roll cage and passenger handle that was welded into that rust bucket you would have laughed your ass off cause it looked like it would just push thru the floor for all the rust.

Damion Sanders was driving and I forget who else was in the car but they tried to flip that car twice with no luck so the last time they went so far up the road we couldn't even hear them the all the sudden you heard that piece of crap wound out heading towards the elevated road. Damion whipped that thing sideways before the crest and managed to flip it but one of the funniest parts, not in the movie was, just after flipping Joel albrecht and Billy Felts go running over to spray fire extinguishers in the car just for show. Well they did not realize that dry chem extinguishers make it extremely hard to breathe, and after emptying 2 of them into the cab, people start realizing that those 2 in there can't breath so then the frantic extraction!! After we got those two out we were laughing so hard cause they had put on a full layer of clothes plus leather jackets for protection, and being that it was at least 105 out, with all the sweat they had going on the dry chem was coating most of them like they had just been dipped in flour.

Man I could go on about all kinds of crazy crap from that first movie that I saw in person.... Great memories, kinda stuff that makes ya shake your head and laugh out loud even when you're by yourself, let alone telling the stories!!!

Has anyone got a link to the Fox video call Fly? It had Mcgrath, Lamson, Pastrana and Mike Metgzer (Honda no.387?).

btw: that vid brought back such awesome memories! Still amazes me that it was not posted here before.

Cool stories Flapper Cool

I have tons of stuff still on 8mm camcorder tapes, i need to try and find a cheap camcorder so i can convert them. The 90's kicked some serious ass! I may have some footage from when i was hanging out up at Magoo's house back then. "Good Times!"

I'm so fucking happy and sad right now. I agree with the missing the days when motocross was a lifestyle and fun. Back when if you saw someone in a Fox shirt in Vegas you knew they were in town for the race. God the memories. Thanks for the post. That was a special time.

MC was a fucking animal!!!

You could hear his throttle control, then on that drop off he landed right in that rut like it was nothing.

Emig was classic in the beginning of the video!

After my parents got divorced when I was five, I grew up living with two to three guys that lived that life. I was at the track every weekend with my bmx bike when they raced or practiced. There were a group of kids my age that all rode bmx bikes around the pits at Carlsbad, Glen Helen, etc, and that was the 'lifestyle' I chose and wanted to grow up to live. Now it feels different. I am happy for the success that Fox has had, but I refuse to wear any clothing by Fox. I only wear Fox gear, but no street clothes because it makes me feel like a goon when I see everyone else wearing it. It kind of sound hipster.....

I hope to start riding again after I get a year or two of teaching under my belt. By then I will hopefully have tenure at a school and will have BTSA somewhat complete. There is no time for riding in my schedule right now. I am lucky to make it to one or two nights of racing RC at West Coast or OC during a quarter.

Awesome stories Flapper, thanks. I would go to reche and ride mtb before my dad could afford bikes for the both of us. I remember seeing the crazy lines some of the riders would take. I remember a few times we would go see the riders and they would be cool meeting us and all. I'm not sure I remember who they all were, I was very young.

I saw this video when the Crusty 1 dvd came out. Crusty 4 is still my favorite Crusty though

I've seriously just emailed this to everyone I grew up riding with. That's how happy this made me. It takes me back to staying at my cousins in St. George on the way to see the supercross in Vegas. The first night we would always bust out the Crusty, Fly and Terrafirma videos to get ourselves amped. Cool

My cousin and I would always watch the Terrafirma and Fly videos. His parents wouldn't let him watch the Crusty videos.... He is out of state for college right now.

OCScottie you have some explaining to do!!!

Seen this post last night and sat and watched it with my 20 year old son. He always scoots around the house on his little bike making bike noises (four stroke lol)

After watching this he has started riding the after a bit tipping his bike on its side like it has crashed and screams OOOOOooooooo and then laughs and gets up!

He also pretends to kick start the bike before he takes off, though that may change now I'm riding orange! will have to pretend to press a button Smile

I graduated in 97. This footage without editing reminds me of basically everyday after school. Still have my old library of mid 90's jump videos. I don't know if the world was that much different back then or if I've just gotten older, but it sure was fun.

.99$ gas and nothing but time. ..........
