Excuse my typo, Dumbgeon. It's played, it's old, and we got the point on the 2nd or 3rd page. Your ass should be healed from the dry screwing you got three years ago.

I have $1000 US to MPS and $300 into the work that finished it off. Modded the airbox myself, and bought a 99 CR250 airboot from SH for $30US. Got a few hours into stretching the wiring harness to make it fit the new frame, and my own labour. So not that much I guess, unless you include the 07 RM450 as a bonus. Lol.

Lol. Listen UP Chili boy, you just stay up there in the Peg and let these 2 fend for themselves. They'll leave when they get tired. I trust you're posting INSIDE the house. Where it's warm.

We allow typos, do not exceed more than the government maximum of one per post. Most certainly, you can appreciate the MAYHEM and ANARCHY that would ensue were we to overshoot that limit. As you were.

Is there any builders out there that would be able to fit a 2004 KTM200SX motor into a 2010 KX250F chasis?

Not to worry. Now that AJ showed up to defend himself we'll be fine. Just keep it civil guys.

On that note, like AJ says, it appears Bob-o has a hidden agenda, even though he says he dosen't. Why else would anyone trash a guys work who in the same sentence he says is a great guy? I can see him being upset if, like Scooter, Bob-o had an issue with a bike he owned or bought from a builder, but he dosen't. it appears he's trying to discredit SHs work and pump up someone else's (his own?).

So which is it Bob-o, you buy some pile and want to blame someone, or are you trying to compete for sales? It must be one or the other, otherwise it makes no sense.
Builders like Stoffers delivering a quality products would not exist if S/H ever stepped up and got their act together.

S/H charges a premium price, for less than preminum work in my opinion. Notice how the photos I posted were never questioned by AJ as being legit Servce Honda photos. They are, and he knows it. I know the owner of that bike well, and he was rather disapointed by what he received for his hard earned money.

To AJ's and Service Hondas credit, they came out and completly replaced the frame. They took the bike to a local shop somewhere, transfered all the motor and suspension parts over, and brought it back.

Thats a happy ending for this owner, but I doubt its the only case like it. There are probably more bikes like it out there, but you will never hear about them.

Yea, Pauls a friend of mine. He builds nice stuff for people who want it. I've never charged him a dime for displaying his bikes on my site, nor has he ever thrown a dime back my way for doing so. What we both want is for guys who are into CR500's to be able to own a bike that they are proud of.

If your proud to own a S/H... Great. You like your Stoffers Racing bike?... thats great too. People know how to get in touch with AJ, and people know how to get in touch with Paul. I didnt post Paul's phone number or email for a reason, I'm not his partner in anything. I just think he builds a great bike.

If I have any agenda at all, its this. $10k is allot of money for a dirt bike. Some guys save their whole life to be able to own a S/H, and they shouldnt be disapointed when the get it . Simple enough??

I believe the diameter of the swing arm bolt is different size from the newer frame to the steel frame. Also I think the shock overall length may be different too.

shock length shouldnt matter if you switch all the linkage and swing arm over with it. Swing arm pivot would be the only dealbreaker.
Shock length will matter. The top shock mount position, and it's relationship to the swing arm pivot and pull rod frame mount locations, could be a deal breaker on that swap.

I stopped in to meet Roostius Maximus aka Adam of Millar Racing in Winkler Mb this summer. Very cool guy, a HUGE wealth of motor knowledge, especially CR500s. I tried talking him into re-doing my frame, but his brother Luke, who is the master TIG guy, is just too busy hauling grain in the winter. So, I make do with what I have.
Rode at their farm where Ryan practices. SCHWING!! An 8000 acre riding paradise. Cool

I'm fairly certain you know who I WOULDN'T recommend. Silly You're up in New Hampshuh, and I've never seen anyone post that they fabricate and they're from that area. Would be a neat project though, done properly. A 250F killer right there. That engine might be small enough that it wouldn't be a massive undertaking like a 500 is. Put the motor in the frame if you have both and see what it looks like. A lot of great things come out of a crazy idea. Like a MOTORCYCLE, for example.

I have looked at a few of the 500's that have come out of Winkler, they are nice looking bikes. If you keep an eye out I see them for sale on Kjijiji here.

You are concerned about people you dont even know exist? Well ok then. Either way, you still never explained why you showed up here to bash someone completely out of the blue, in a thread about someone that lives 1000 miles away from the original subject to the thread. For someone to randomly attack someones credibility and work practices even though they have never had any dealings, good or bad, with the other person is puzzling to say the least.

And you know what the sad thing about this whole thing is? I would bet money that AJ will gain customers and your friend Paul will lose business just because you decided to show up here and act like a dick. Unfortunately, people will see you as a representative of his company and you know what one company bad mouthing another shows? It shows weakness and fear, and consumers will pick up on that.

I showed up to agree that MPS sucks. Then someone commented that S/H bikes are the best.... I commented their not. Its not a bash if its true. If I posted those photos as being MPS bikes. you guys would have orgasmed all over yourselves about how shitty it looks. but its S/H so they get a free pass and its all swept nicely under the rug. As for Paul, he has more work than he can handle, people will wait for quality.

Not if they have enough brains to spend a lot of time of the CR 500 conversion forums and see for themselves what's being done and by whom.
