Don't know Wardy but he didn't get the reputation he has by doing things half ass, something just does'nt feel right about this and would go as far to say something stinks. Kranyaks a good guy and he knew what he was in for and sounds like hes going racing anyway not that Wardy didn't but a commitment they had i'm sure pulled out. Personality issues between Krankyak and Wardy:??, yea maybe but don't thing the two would commit to each other if there were issues. I worked with a team couple years ago that all sounded good, 3 year commitment, semis's, Sprinters for the riders, fukn yada, yada, yada. I shook hands with the owner the night we agreed to all and was pumped to be back in action racing and was frikkin surprised when the last words that night from him were, "Chuck", you probably think I'm a good guy!!" and I'm thinking yea, you've got the money obviously and the desire and lets go racing and then he finished the sentence...."JUST WAIT!!" an I'm thinking of shit, what did I get myself into??

I'm pretty sure it was Wardy because it was before LaRocco's time.

I thought it was Wardy's grandfather that used to own the land back then, not sure how old he would be now if still alive.....

What a splash RCH could make by snapping up Deano. Not the biggest Wilson fan but him on the Zook with RC mentoring would be sick!

I think Deano dug himself into a little hole with the sponsorships he got. The Monster/Fox/Shift combo means he's only compatible with TwoTwo unless those guys are fine with dropping him. He could go back to Pro Circuit with them, as I remember RC rode for PC with Fox gear for a little bit but maybe Thor won't let that happen. Possible similar situation like Windham with Geico (different gear sponsors)?

What a fucking mess ... But didn't JWR say early on that the viability of their team was contingent upon the signing of a new major sponsor? Seams to me that Dean gambled that his addition to the team would bring that new major sponsor to the table. A reasonable assumption perhaps, but erroneous in the end. Its a shame.... I hope dean finds a good ride for 2013...

Did you want him to go naked on the JWR bike? I'm sure he made the best deal that he was given at the time without the knowledge that this whole thing was going to fall out from underneath him.

This is probably one of those deals in the industry that we will never find out what happened.

I was wondering how the personal sponsorships worked. .Why isnt there some sort off opt out/buy out based on time with sponsor clauses? I mean for the rider, it would get you out of situations like this. I couldnt imagine not taking the best team and bike available to you because you have to wear shift gear. Conversely, why would personal sponsors want to hold a rider hostage like that anyhow? On the off chance someone sits out, are Monster/Shift/Fox going to want to pay someone to chill at the races in their casual wear for racing money?

I think it's pretty evident to his personal sponsors that their Marketing goals that involve him aren't worth a bucket of piss if he doesn't race a motocross bike.
11/3/2012 10:47am
Thats what I would figure, but people keep saying he cant go here and he can only go here. I don't know who the industry people on here are so thats why I asked the questions about that.

You're doing it all wrong!

You need to start your own thread, ask an asinine question, state an opinion as fact and then insult a talented rider. I feel there is no hope for you here with your intelligent conversitation.

Oh well... Welcome aboard anyway!

I feel horrible for Wilson.

The fact that the rug was pulled out from under him so badly is a crime.

Langston's team left a rider out in the cold too when they recently folded and still paid his salary for '13.Just sayin'

True madness, we have this rather fresh champ, with chances for new titles, but without ride? Meanwhile we have a bunch with no chances what so ever, but with rides?

It's not that complex is it? I'm sure he will line up in the end.

I wouldn't feel too bad for him. With his talent and personality, I'd be surprised if he doesn't have a good ride lined up by Wednesday. Testing for a brand new ride in November may be a bit of a bitch though.

Id expect they'd love to but deano's Monster energy deal wouldn't sit well with red bull.....

Then I'd put that Monster sponsor to work for me to secure a ride.
Or terminate it, & go talk to Roger D again.

Motorcycle before the energy drink sponsors...
