Yep from the video's out so far this week it looks like a few riders have been able to ride the track if they wanted, so letting the American team ride the same part everyone else already has this week is fair enough.

Think the only team missing out will be the Aussies, well at least the Yamaha riders who don't fly out till Monday, though sounds like they have been getting plenty of sand practice at a private track in Aus.

Love the quote from Cody Cooper in the Vurb Vid, Yeah the track will be tough be we raced in the sand in Aus this year and it was tough and up and down hill.

Wanneroo in Western Australia is also endless deep sand, and the top three from our MX1 class will all be racing (two for Aus and one for NZ) and our MX2 winner from that round will be in our team.

Aussie underdogs Smile same as the Kiwis.

I wish we could be like Great Britain and call ourselves Great Australasia, and then they got rid of that bullshit age rule in MX2, a team off Reed, Townley and someone like Metty in MX2 would be a challenge for any team Smile

Gordon Crockard said that was one of the toughest tracks he has ever raced.

You think Kiwis and Aussies would race on the same team?!
Yeah Wanneroo is crazy, the back straight which was as smooth as silk Saturday morning looked like a set of a Dozen step ups by Sunday arvo, waist to Chest sized whoops the full length, the only good thing for riders at Wanneroo is they get a slight break from the deep sand in the last section of the track, the big cut out only has shin to knee high Whoops lol

Was good to see Crockard back in Aus this year, got a chance to have a quick chat to him at one of the rounds.

As for Kiwis and Aussie racing together, no problem with it, though not at Des Nations to much country pride between each other lol.

Now IF the Des Nations or a race like it but a US V Europe V Rest of the World race come up, they would race together for sure Smile , pretty solid line up as well Smile

OK, so today, Justin Barcia (USA), Ryan Dungey (USA), Blake Baggett (USA), Marvin Musquin (FRA), Matt Inda (Lithuania), Cody Cooper (NZ), Rhys Carter (NZ), Kayne Lamont (NZ), Kim Lindstrom (SWE) and a couple of others but didn't catch their names...

i think Team USA had the morning slot booked, but after that, it was fair game for anyone who wanted a bash

Did they look comfortable and having a good time?

i think they all had a blast... they had a couple of tip-overs between them, but i think they were glad to be finally riding the track after all the hype.... all of them looked fast and apparently the laptimes were similar between all 3 of them

had to really judge "how" fast because there wasn't anyone else, but they looked good.... gonna be a cracking weekend!

I can't tell you how relieved we all are that you think it's "ok" now that you've exhausted ever angle at spinning this as some unfair favor to the US team.

Oh thank you little baby jesus for letting other teams ride the track. Crisis averted. It seems that the insanely unfair preferential treatment that the USA receives has been averted. Now lets think of the other ways the USA gets special treatment. Do you think the USA will be provided Wheaties to eat on race day while other teams are given porridge? What about the air they breathe? I here they get special "clean air" packs built in to their helmets so they don't have to inhale the smog or exhaust of the other bikes. Damn USA!!! *shakes fist in the air*

Ahhhh shit man. The USA is going to have to battlie through the adversity of Belgian rain? Oh man we are doomed. That stuff is so heavy. Like you said. It certainly isn't like anything we've EVER experienced. Hopefully the PH level isn't too high for the USA.

I heard the US riders will have the sand extracted from every orifice between sessions by angels with miniature gold plated leaf blowers and specially heated air.

They'll probably line the woman's version of these things right in front of them, too.

Stand in the center and watch the race on the freakin jumbo tron. Flat as a board and the worst spectating in the sport (not to mention it's in the middle of an industrial park). Other than the sand being deep It really doesn't fit a Des Nations quality track, to me . They would be better off laying out a track in some farmers field out in the Ardennes region there is some of the most spectacular Euro moto terrain I've ever seen.

It's at least 5 times wetter than your average US rain Smile

Team USA have coke and hookers being provided too. If that's not an advantage, I don't know what is.

I snapped these SECRET SPY PHOTOS at Lommel earlier today:

Thank God for the rain. Now the Europeans won't smell so bad. Tongue At least that's what John Dowd told me.
