Not a war just the facts, they do not sale good, plus the used ones are like bad omens and they sit low in the back, high center of gravity and they are HEAVY. It is basically a single cylinder sport bike motor, just like them they do not last long.

Anyways, the only real choice in a 2 stroke is Yamaha, KTM and a few Husky models.

I do not see Suzuki releasing the 2 strokes in the states thanks to the environmental movement. Which is ridiculous since they only manufacture a small amount each year. The same environmentalist live in concrete jungles like New York and California, I guess they are exempt...

The video of the RM125 AFS get rid of the horrid music, what year is the 125 motor from?

I would prefer a chrome-moly steel frame myself, anything but the lame 4t bikes geesh.

I wonder if you can import from the UK?

The upper frame rail can be lowered down, it looks like it has a lift kit on it since the expensive nascar motor has to have it so high. This screws up the center of gravity, I cannot stand the 4t bikes tall, off-balance, heavy, LOUD, and EXPENSIVE.

I have seen 4t bikes with blowed up engines selling for $300-$400, who wants to dump $3,000 into a bike not worth the money. Plus the fact, the oil is shared with the clutch leading to expensive - constant oil changes.

If the 4t bikes were so great, the movement would not being buying used 2t bikes and going through them.

I don't really care what they do the 4t bikes, a dumpster would be a good start. Recycle them all and start making 2 stroke bikes again!

2 stroke advantage:
No flame out or compression levers (plus the hot start bs)
No shared motor oil with the clutch/transmission - breaking the oil down... expensive oil filters, and o-rings
No cam-chain & tensioner (if the tensioner fails get ready for KABOOM
No cam shafts (nice and expensive)
No valves, seals, having to replace them and lapping valves...
No 2000 degree exhaust with that horrible raspy LOUD sound that melts the side panels, plus it will cause the WORST burns if you get on the pipe. NOT to mention the MASSIVE 'gonad' SILENCER (aftermarket exhaust cost just a $1000 that is all or more...)
No TOP heavy feeling with the upper frame rail being sky high, stupid design.

All of those parts add up, and they will need to be replaced eventually, thus the reason why just the 4t racing 4 wheelers they are sold for a few hundred dollars or just junked out.

Best of all the 2 strokes have BETTER resale, a lot of people have wised up and switched back to a real bike that started it all. Not a sport bike (single cylinder - nascar motor) that has a SHORT life expectancy and LOTS of money to keep it going.

I have seen many of 'basket' 4t bikes, they normally do NOT get sold because again, they are not worth the money in parts to fix them. Plus, when you are done now you have a bike that cost $7000-$8000+ with another $3000 or more in it meaning you get a bike that is close to $15,000 just plain stupid.

Like the old saying you cannot fix stupid, the 4t bikes just like the factory racing teams quoted the parts bills tripled...

It is funny, clean 2 strokes bikes sell quick.

The 4t bikes will be brand new sitting on show room floors for a few years if not more. I have seen brand new 2008 models for sale. NO thanks they can keep the top-heavy, slow tanks.

I didnt ask about suspension or EFI.

Another source confirmed this info as well today. and neither were some annoying dealer rep type, we know how those rumors pan out. Anything could change though. Again, this is just what I was told. So dont shoot the messenger. For instance, I was told at one point in time that Husky has a baddass EFI 2-stroke ready, it got shelved right before release this year, and I later heard from someone else that the bike is far from finished. Both of those sources were as direct as one could get, so you never really know how some stuff is going to pan out or what is dis-information. People who work for the mfg can sometimes be just as full of it as the next person.
I'll second that. Heard something very similar a month ago from a very respected and reliable source with ties to suzuki. Personally, I can't wait to see these things hit the states... hopefully it will live up to the hype. If so, I will gladly drop some doll hairs on a new suzuki 2 stroke.

I do not see the 2 stroke bikes coming back, I could be wrong but they are 'pipe' dreams.

Too many brainwashed people who like spending $8000+ on a piece of junk 4 joke bike.

To begin to make the power of a 250 2 stroke they had to almost double the displacement to a 450, then they forget to add it cost $3000 to rebuild one when it goes kaboom and it can do that at ANY time. Cam-chains, valves, seals, expensive oil shared with the tranny/clutch just a piece of JUNK.

I find it amazing how fast the YZ125 & YZ250 sell out, the 250f & 450f terds just sit...

KTM sold out of 2 strokes, that is proof the gig is up on these couches anyone can ride around on. The sport is about as fun to watch as paint drying, since the bikes cost a quarter of a million dollars to build. That makes it easy for the average joe to get in the sport.

On the auction sites LOTS of grenaded nascar bikes...

What rock did you just crawl out from under? The yz125 and 250 sell out so fast because they are not making very many anymore. I don't know why you people keep this hatred of how many strokes a motor has. I have a feeling you were someone else on here that was kicked for stirring shit before. Yeah, judging by the joined date and post count I think I am right. geez, just ride what you like and shut your pie hole, this crap is getting really old.

I ride both 2 stroke and 4 stroke. I'm not gonna be one of those guys that bitches about this bike because it has this many strokes. Blah blah blah. Fact of the matter is each has their own place. 2 strokes are a blast to ride. The new 4 strokes are fast and handle amazing. The 2 strokes just aren't as competitive as they used to be. The main 2 that are still making them aren't putting as much time and money into R&D for those bikes as they are for the 4 strokes. My '12 RM-Z250 is way faster, handles better, and feels pretty close in weight to my 06 RM125. My point is, buy a bike that suits your type of riding. And quit bitching about it. I'm sick of this 2 stroke vs. 4 stroke shit.

Fact the 450f is a big slow pig and the 250f is a slow heavy terd as well.

I could careless if someone likes the big imposter bikes, KTM & Yamaha sell all of the 2 strokes due to demand. The fragile 4 stroke bikes sit on showroom floors,

At the end of the day if Suzuki does not import them, then I will just buy a KTM 250 or YZ250 2 stroke bike.

No one buys the used 4 joke stroke bikes because they are JUNK period.

2 strokes started it and they will come back and squash the tank bikes. Like everything it comes full circle and the people who dumped $15000 in a bike that will bring (if they are lucky) $3000...
