I count 7 total real quick, among 5 factories currently competing - 4 of those guys are injured and out.
For me it's left over from last year where he would win one race and be nowhere the next.
If he keeps riding like he does now I'll eventually get over it..

I'm not a big Alessi fan...but i just sit back and chuckle as he is beating all these guys with factory bikes (Everyone but Stewart and Dungey) on his privateer bike. Sure, if Stewart, Reed, villopoto, Canard were racing he'd be finishing 6th instead of 2nd....but everyone else would be 4 places back too. The Alessi have to be pounding their chests in triumph in that they are proving that their system works for them...and I say good on 'em...
Here are lap times from Budds Creek.

DeCoster doesn't give too much away, there's still a while to go,more time for more Vital speculation I guess
Interesting to see Alessi thinks he SHOULD go though,he obviously thinks he's earned it/deserves it
Alessi hasn't even been picked - can't see where you're coming from on this one.
Hope Barcia does go, would love to see him wringing the neck of a 450 in the sand first hand.
Pit Row
The other guys like Blake Baggett, Justin Barcia, Eli Tomac, James Stewart and other will get support from the "Japanese backed European Factory Teams". Justin Barcia & Eli Tomac can get the same 450 bike as Evgeny Bobryshev if they want!
I think DeCoster talks with all the big team managers and the AMA itself about the choice. I'm sure it's not all his call and that everyone has to bend to what he says.
Remember the whole Brown & Tedesco thing (2005 I think)?
But I did hear it was heavily influenced by RC himself....he really wanted Ivan on the team badly that year.
That was kind of a weird deal, because RC was good personal friends with both Brown & Ivan at the time.
They wanted Ivan over Brown because Brown was not riding that well, atleast that was the official reason.
when he drops the hammer and starts winning/battling..it'd be a different story
RD yards him every race....
