That doesn't look like a link that would work...

...but it does.

I'm with the AMA on this one. Anyone who steals shit from other people or businesses shouldn't be allowed to have the honor of being inducted into the AMA Hall of Fame.

That whole thing is a big fuck up. You would think by now their process would be consistently applied. Bad for everyone.

That's true. The name "Hall of Fame" by itself though holds a lot of honor in it.

I think the guy paid for his crime (misdemeanor) and moved on with his life. What is he now to you? A lifetime parolee?

No he's not a lifetime parolee. I'm just saying he shouldn't be in the Hall of Fame after stealing.

Well now you're just being stupid. If there were a "Shit Eaters Hall of Fame", then no that wouldn't be a good one to be a part of.

It is looking like Clark's past had no bearing on the way things came down.

But if you are one of those that feels that being convicted of something should exclude you from consideration, where do you draw the line?

Sex offender?

Tax evasion?

Insider trading?

DUI?

theft?

Murder?

Enviromental crime?

embezzling?

Fraud?

Public urination?

Issues with drugs?

I'll bet we have all been guilty of misdemeanor crimes if we had been caught. Does anyone have a street sign hanging in their garage? Thats a felony in most places. Ever ride where it's posted not to? Hand a beer to someone under 21.

It seems the indignation is coming from the fact of making an official announcement of his induction, and then saying oops a couple days later.

If it is the way those guys say it happened with confusion over votes, perhaps it might have been better to let the ceremony take place as announced this year, and make sure the necessary changes took place behind the scenes to make sure it doesn't happen again.

The way they have handled really leaves no other outcome than to drag this guy's name through the mud once again as people (including myself) research his past.

Wow, this is interesting to watch. I don't know anything about Nobby Clark but that letter from Despain was great.

Boy, I really need to print and frame that. I'll put Despain in my personal hall of fame. So glad to see someone of importance to this sport call the AMA's ass out on just one of their bullshit moves. Despain resigning may be attached to the Nobby Clark issue, but you can bet your ass that's just the straw that broke the camels back. Maybe DC and MX Sports will be next to tell the AMA to go screw themselves.....or is that already happening? I've got some spare room in my hall of fame.

Way to go Dave. Much respect to you.
X100 newmann, Now there
's the man that could and now might just take the challenge of organizing a riders group or whatever you may call it and do something to finally get these kids paid what they deserve and look into any other issues that may need some attention.

Sounds like some folks jumped the gun and just assumed (or believed rumors) that the rescinding of the induction had to do with his character questions?

Who in the AMA was responsible for the $750,000.00 spent defending the AMA in the the frivolous pissing match lawsuits brought on by Rob Ianucci and Team Obsolete against AHRMA. While Jeff Smith was busy bankrupting AHRMA and raiding the members injured riders benevolent fund (which I was a long time contributor to) to help pay for his pissing match he got elected to the board of the AMA if I'm not mistaken. Since AHRMA events were AMA sanctioned, the AMA was right there alongside Smith pissing away all those hard earned dollars that members had paid to them. AHRMA went bankrupt, and the AMA severed ties with AHRMA and called it quits on the defense end before it bled them dry too. Lots of crooked shit going on there, this is just one more show of the incompetence from the group that we look to to provide who knows what to "our" sport.

Rob Ianucci and Team Obsolete were/are the team that hobby was convicted of stealing from?

Here is the real story

It had nothing to do with missing parts.

The whole thing is an example of how NOT to do things.

I'd pay to see Adams tell Dick Mann not to get his Depends in a wad face to face....

Members of the HOF comittee are also bailing. Dennis Mahan calls it a day.

The HOF is now a joke. Kind of a shame , really, that one of the only shrines that recognizes the great legends of motorcycling has imploded at the hands of Mr.Adams and friends.

Just think we have politician's that have done at least one of those things on that list. But Knobby gets the boot from the AMA.

Well there you have it. Dean Adams pulls no punches in telling it like he sees it. Looks like it was a colossal screw up that no one at the AMA or HOF wants to publicly admit to or defend their decision. They had their chance, but let it slip. I'm guessing this could very well be the end of the HOF.

I think they've already announced the results of their investigation where they basically said that they royally f'd up.....

You're a douche bag, but since you're British, that goes without saying. Go brush your teeth, loser.

The real story, straight from the horse's azz. Read this thread again . I posted this earlier. Especially note the part where Mr Jeff Heininger states that Clark's name needed to be removed to "protect the integrity " of the HOF.

Those dipshits, Adams ,Heininger,Dingman would not know integrity if it sat on their face.
