For those who do not care about 36th...... qualifying for MX national is "BIG"

A National MX race is the pinnacle of our sport.

This thread is ABSOLUTELY amazing.

How did Ricky do in the 2nd moto? Where do you find results at for all 40 riders?

I haven't seen Ricky on here begging for anything.

Well, lucky you. I just bought another house down in Georgia, just a few hours from you. You should drive up and hear me spew it in person. I'll be more than happy to message you my address, cook some hamburgers and drink some beer.
Message that address to me. Shit spewing, hamburgers, and beer sounds like a good stop when traveling through Georgia.

I hate Ricky Renner. I hate two strokes. Especially 125's... But 36th at a national doesn't suck.

@Bellone

qualifying for the moto's is a fucking achievement, claiming 36th sucks proves you never been on a dirtbike.

All 40 riders that line up behind the gate are tough and determined. Please, put yourself on a dirtbike and go try to qualify, then come back and tell us how it went and how easy it was.

How can u even say sutch things about those riders? Some of them put their last dime into the sport. They get up early everyday and go to work, just to be able to pay for the trip and parts, just to do a few laps around the track. Just so they can hopefully try to put in a good lap. And if they are a bit lucky and can overcome the disadvantages they endure from the competition, they might get a chance to do the 2moto race and battle for eatch spot. It's the reason they are there, they don't gain ANYTHING from it. Hell, they even lose money by doing it!

They might not have the money, the raw talent or have the right people behind them to make it easyer, like most of the front runners. But they still got the heart to go out and try. How the hell can you disrespect those guys?!

Those dismissing Ricky's results are either ignorant or just get up every day and think "how can I degrade someones acomplishments to make me feel better"? It is obvious you have no idea just how hard it is to make it from the qualifier and into the race, and on a out gunned 125 at that. And saying who cares about 36th and 36th sucks is just showing how stupid you are, you have no idea what it takes to get there and I'm fairly certian you have never and will never do that good even at your local track in the C class. Ok so I really don't know that for certian but you really are a dolt!

Take any one of these clowns who say dumb crap like they'd fire their employee if they finished 36th. Yeah? I wonder what that guy's capabilities are in his occupation? My bet he wouldn't be in the top 1000. 36th out of 40 in the top Pro 250 class is bad ass. Hell, making the race at all is impressive.

I am stoked on this!!!

I am kind of bummed John Dowd and Mike Brown got national television coverage for being old in the 450 class, and this 125cc Renner story did not. To me, all three are equally impressive. Renner deserved some TV time.

I wonder how many guys with tricked out high dollar bikes he beat out? old bike, old tech, home built, half the displacement, doesn't race full time, racing out of a van, RR532 is a bad bad man. great job.

Don't think that was the point today. Sounds like he was riding smoker because he was up for the challenge and his growing number of fans wanted to see it happen.

Pretty sure this bunch wouldn't be so fired up if he finished mid-pack on a fartcycle.

Great job Ricky! 34th overall is awesome. Just think there were 40 guys on 250F's that didn't qualify today!
7/7/2012 6:50pm
even the last person who tried to qualify today deserves every bit of respect you have, there were 80 lites riders that tried to qualify today, the 80th guy is as tough as nails as they get

renner just happened to beat 44 250f's today in qualifying
he finished 34th overall
on a bike that didnt' cost half as much as some other privateer's

he's is the epitome of underdog, riding a bike with half the cc's
being a part time pro
limited funds

but one thing he does have, is balls the size of watermelons for doing what he did today, i just wish i was there to cheer him on in person

Good job ricky. and most real riders know that simply being able to sign up and try to qualify for a race like this is very hard to do. you have to EARN IT.

So just getting a gate out there and being top 40 today is a huge deal and hurdle.

what makes it sweet is that it was done on a 125.

very nice.
