It has been talked about a little but, James says he wants to have fun and get the bike set up for 2013, but once the gate drops will he take 2nd or 4th or 9th if thats what he's got??? From he looks of the video's he is having fun and looks very fast and capable of winning races. In the heat of the moment is he gonna be ok with not winning?
Can't wait til saturday, it feels like it has six months since vegas. All the rumors and bullshit is almost over and we can get back to some dudes racin dirt bikes! Finally

I hope after taking 5ths 6ths and DNF's the whole supercross season he'd be ok with a 2nd.

Glad you brought this up OP, this hasn't really been mentioned at all around here, now go create a second thread about the Suzuki so we can discuss that.

in the 2 million threads started on the subject, all i have seen is the haters sayin "he sucks" and "he's done". Or the nut huggers sayin "he's baaack!" and "24-0" what if he is just somewhere in the middle? Trust me i am well aware of how many threads have been up in the past 2 wks.

I think dungey will take the first couple of moto wins with james stewart a close second. Then once stewart gets his motocross mojo back dungey better look out cause stewart will be flying.

Yup, I agree, sounds more realistic. Can't expect him to come out of the gate after not having ridden outdoors for however long to be fighting with Dungey and all the others that have been up there. If I were him, I would expect top 5 for the first few rounds and not push myself too far, let the results come.

agree 100%...but he has yet to prove that he can do that. when the situation presents itself, more often than not, he pins it WFO and deals with the consequenses, whatever they may be. when it works out, he is unstoppable. when it does'nt work out, its ugly.

RD and Stewart both have the speed to win......what it is going to boil down to is fitness and being able to settle for 2nd when that time comes.

C'mon guys.....you know how the game works....very seldom do the fastest guys on the track get great starts together....90% of the time....some of them always have to move through the pack.

FITNESS and great starts are what is going to be needed. I think RD and Stewart both will get their fair share of wins this year.

And honestly....no matter who you're rooting for....we don't know how those two guys will compare to each other until Hangtown. BUT....even then.......things change from race to race.

Should be thankful that we have two guys like that out there. I think there will be a couple others that will mix it up as well......but we'll see.

Guys, don't count out Alessi, Brayton and all the other guys moving up. Alessi has shown in the past to be an outdoor threat, he could be a spoiler on a few rounds!

I think it's funny that because it's Dungey, it's gonna be easy picking. If RV wasnt injured, everyone would be saying how he was gonna DESTROY James. Well RD gave Villo all he could handle last year and more

Dungey might be one of the most underrated rider ever. He gets no respect for how good he is. Why people think james is going to walk all over him is beyond me.

Exactly! Anyone who thinks Dungey will be easy picking is delusional. The guy was one DNF from beating RV for the title last year.

I think Villopoto this summer would've been as likely to go 12-0 against Dungey as Dungey is against Stewart right now. Not too likely, but not that far out of the question, either. RV's the man.

Stewart can take 2nd...he had settled into 2nd in moto1 at Unadilla. He was pushing really hard to make passes and keep with Dungey, but Dungey still inched away from him. But that was on a bike he probably wasn't pumped on, and with questionable fitness. If he's fit and comfortable and Dungey's right in front of him, he might give it all and do his crash or win thing (if he doesn't wear himself out first).

Canard said he was going to take it easy his first few rounds back last year. Then at Washougal he saw Dungey right in front of him, chased the rabbit and wound up overextending his scrubbing muscles. It happens.

Yeah, I'm not sure why people are overlooking Dungey. He's certainly better outdoors than in SX. He has the advantage and should have the upper hand on Stewart in the early going.

I think it will be a fight for 2nd with Millsaps. Dungey is obviously the favorite to win it.

I think Dungey needs double wins especially in the first 2 or 3 weeks. Assuming he's in better shape than James, he needs to cash in on points early, because James will be in better shape each week. He can't let James check out on him if he gets ahead, as it'll give James a little relax time in the last laps. He needs to ride with him and force him to expend all his energy while waiting for a good pass. I question the size of Dungey's gonads. James are bigger than Dungey and his bike put together. That may be the deciding factor. He will put Dungey thru the biggest test of his career. It's out there for both of them to go get. I just hope they, ( and everyone riding a bike out there anywhere), stay healthy throughout the season, and have no mechanical failures. We could in in for some great racing every week this year, and I hope we are.

I think if Dungey can keep RV honest for a season, he can keep Stewart honest for a season, he's just a monster outdoors.

Regardless of what the retarded stewart fanboys think.
