Finally tuned up all the little details and got it fired up and running. Sounds sweet and smells like a dirt bike should.Smile Amazing how a photo in a magazine 35 years ago has such an impact on some of us. Always thought it was cool as shit and needed to be recreated. Big thanks to those that helped!

1977 RM125 was my first race bike and I used to drool when I saw the Fox bike in Motocross Action back then. The closest I was able to come at the time was the stickers and the orange and the orange and yellow Fox gear. Awesome job! You're creating a beautiful archive of bikes for us old fartsSmile

Oh. My. Gosh!

Were Oury grips around back then for dirt bikes? Just curious, I use them on my mountain bike.

Suggestion: if you can get two of those Fox t-shirts, it would be cool to replicate that picture with you and one of your friends.

Of course, someone would have to grow a mustache!

But what about the dent in the tank of the original? It's hardly a replica without it. Smile
Maybe Richter would personally give it a bash or two with his knee caps?

Mine also. I somehow got a pair of Fox air shocks for it. I hope you have a spare tank if you race that.

Thanks for the compliments on the scooter. Richter's mechanic Chuck Tannlund was quite helpful throughout the project with lots of good info and Pete Fox liked it enough to make me an offer I couldn't refuse. It will be headed to the Fox Racing museum this weekend after the Houston SX. I'm putting a few finishing touches on the Steve Wise replica as it will be joing the RM for the trip to Ca. Going to be a sad day at the Newmann house....

Newmann, you are taking porn to a whole nuther level, my brutha.

Ourys were the ONLY grips any self-respecting MXer hung onto back then. Think I got my first set in 73-74.
