Just saw this on Dirtbikerider web page

News fresh in from FatCat is that Zach Osborne's had a big crash this morning and may miss the start of the season...

Seemingly fitter and faster than ever before it was looking like 2012 was going to be Zach Osborne's big year but news fresh in from FatCat Motoparc is that the West Virginian speedster has had a big crash this morning and will most likely miss the start of the GP season. Although the full extent of Zach's injuries is unknown at present our man on the scene reckons that Osborne has badly injured his collarbone, wrist and ribs.

We'll give you more news as we get it...

That sucks, I hope he heals up strong. Def a disappointment not having him as a contender now.

I think I'm going to start watching lawn bowling. Lower injury rate.

F-ck that's really sad for him, the team and the championship. He was a top 5 or maybe even podium contender. He and his bike seemed well prepared.

Latest news on Zach Osborne after his crash this morning at Fat Cat from Steve Dixon his team manager.

“We don’t know how bad until we get a scan but it looks like a wrist and collarbone fracture, we pray for the best but fear the worst. Absolutely gutted for him"

That sounds serious.
Bummer. Hope Zach will be back soon.

Main thing is that he's OK but it sucks for the title chase. He was looking awfully good this year, no doubt a title contender. Man, all these riders getting hurt lately... it's depressing.

it is indeed. It ruins the excitement when riders are missing even at the start of the championship. US outdoor is even worse because of all the injuries related to SX. Since I'm an outdoor only fan I feel this is happening year after year, and it's taking away a lot of the fun. Many teams are depending on their star, and it must be a tough call to tell the sponsors the seasonis over before it even started.

Bad news. Crap to be injured at the start of season and then come back under 100%. I'm not writing Zach off because we don't know the full extend of the injuries.

This sucks big time! I was really looking forward to seeing him in his last year in the GP´s. He would have had a legit shot at the title, and unfortunately being out of contention might take some steam out of him....? I hope not, I´m just gutted on his behalf. He seems like such a nice person!

Well i think its safe to say Steve Dixon must be might relieved he has another title contender on the books there in Tonus. Devastated for Zach though he is so much fun to watch at the GPs. Such a unique style and always attacking the track. Hope his recovery is a swift one.

Crashing hard is one of the perplexing drawbacks of putting too much stock in moto.

Saving it while wfo puts the whole plan into perspective. Heal quickly and completely ZO.

Gutted for him as well, was at fatcats and the battles between him and Tonus were epic.

All that work and now this, heartbreaking... get well soon Zach.
