Two strokes are a lot more fun to watch, that's for sure. I was watching Lommel and it was so boring. Finally I decided that watching a two-stroke shred through sand is a lot more fun that watching a tractor slog and burp its way through the track. It make for boring riding styles in that type of racing, for sure. Thank God some are keeping the two stroke alive.

Thanks everyone for the support. I'm going to give it everything I got so the fans can hear that crisp 2 stroke sound all night long out there. I do have a PayPal account, it's mxgirlie322@gmail.com. Haha don't ask about the name(it's my fiancé) if I can make the show and made some money I would gladly race that thing at some more races. It would be to much fun to pass up the opportunity. Thanks everyone, see you at daytona

Ok, I'll donate to your account, "girlie"...lol. (sorry, you left yourself open on that one)

Any chance someone around you (or yourself with a helmet cam) can get some footage of your effort? We'd enjoy seeing you screaming the crap out of that bike!

Cats outta the bag. Dang twitter. Yes I will be riding a Yz 125 at Daytona. Hopefully it sounds as cool as it sounds too. Will be awesome to line up on the gate for supercross on a 125!
Daytona is a pretty tough track for a 125 to hang with the Fs. I would think you would have more luck on an indoor track. Just my .02. Either way, good luck to you. You make the main and I'll throw in some.

The AMA should allow 'stockish' 250 2 strokes to run in the Lites class, especially for Privateers. Those factory 250Fs are all making North of 45rwhp now.

MotoGP has introduced a production rule allowing teams to run Production engines. Since they can't compete heads up w/ the million $ prototypes from ther factories they are given some leeway in the rules to allow them to compete.

I'm in for $125 if you get in the main.

You should take note of those making the offer and compare it to those that actually follow through. I REALLY hope you make it...

As posted earlier, it would be nice to have a stock 250 engine but allow suspension mods to compete...

2/27/2012 11:51am
Okay I'm in.

If you make the night show I'll donate $100 for every lap you run above 5th place, and $25/lap for every lap between 6-10th place. Heats and Main if you make it that far.

Because KTM didn't pay the extortion.....uhh I mean homologation fee to the AMA for a bike that in reality should not be paired up against a 250. Fees fees fees. Did I say extortion twice in the same thread???Wink

If the cost of upgradeing and maintaining the four stroke keeps riseing. The privateer will have to go back to the two strokes if they want to ride and race.. The AMA has to remember who has the power in this sport. If it wasn't for the privateers there would be no motocross.. If the AMA don't see this happening now. Then they truely are blind. If they want the sport to grow they almost have no choice but to allow the 125cc and 250cc two strokes back in.. It would be awsome to see the CR500AF and KX500AF in the outdoor series against the 450f's.. That I would pay to support.. It would come down to the privateer loseing interest to be apart of this amazing sport.. If the cost to upgrade and rebiuild the four strokes keeps going up..

No reason to pay for a bike that isn't going to be competitive in the class.
