"he dumps his champagne on the ground and pouts"

I didn't see that happen, but would like to. Can anyone provide a link to this girliness?

Whenever degrading language is used, there is a great argument for not using it, such as it will hurt children, and others and increase risk of teen suicide. (using the word gay) Exchanging the word 'girl' with 'bad' is essentially what is happening. It's like whenever DV's son messes up, you say, "you are playing like such a jessica." Don't you think that would effect Jessica who is sitting right there? There is no argument for using terms like "gay." You are so Bryan. The only thing people use to try to defend their use of a term that hurts people, is that they are sensitive. Admitting that it does cause harm, but that that harm is necessary.

In the supercross class, the fans got what they paid to see when Reed took the holeshot with James Stewart and Ryan Villopoto only several positions behind him. Within a few laps, both Stewart and Villopoto had worked their way past Andrew Short and Josh Hansen and were hounding Reed. For five or six laps, they circulated the track within a few feet of one another. Every time it looked like Stewart was close enough to make a move on Reed, he would have to guard against Villopoto, who was putting a wheel on Stewart every chance he got. They refused to give one another an inch, and the crowd was eating it up.

Chad Reed got out to the early lead.

Then, after what seemed like an eternity, Stewart made put a move on the inside of Reed as the two entered a straightaway, pulled a gap, and just like that, the battle was over. Villopoto kept the pressure on Reed, but was simply unable to make anything stick. Finally, right when it looked like Villopoto was going to take another run on Reed, he was forced to double a triple when Reed took the preceding corner a little wide. The result was a bit of breathing room for Reed, which he was able to turn into a sizable gap that would last the remainder of the race.

James Stewart took his first win in 2012, and was the fourth main event winner in 4 races.

After getting somewhat of a decent start, Ryan Dungey wasn’t able to move through riders as quickly as Villopoto and Stewart, and by the time he had worked his way into fourth, the leaders were long gone. Stewart took the checkers, becoming the fourth man to win a supercross main in as many races in 2012. On the podium after the race, Reed was clearly upset about giving up the win to Stewart. In his interview he said he “rode like a girl,” and instead of shaking and spraying his bottle of champagne, he casually opened the bottle and poured it onto the dirt.

I find it really funny that I will see 10 pages of posts flaming on the WMX at the Nationals, and I post on a stupid comment by a professional SX rider after he dumps his champagne on the ground and pouts, and I'm the sensitive one. Well I guess It must be true, because you know all.
I bet your wife makes you put your bike in the shed instead of the garage. A little tip, watch some Family Guy or Tim Allen and that should even you out. My fiancé has a tapon you can borrow

Reed is a whiner because he always makes excuses.....uh, except for all those times he's self critical... that of course makes him a spoiled punk ... if chooses to saying nothing ... stuck up bastard! ... smiling.... that cocky asshole.

Maybe just watch the racing, instead of pretending like you know these riders personally.

Not really buying in to the whole thing.......Reeds finished second ALOT.

I understand he recognizes that he needs to close out holeshots with wins but.......he got beaten by James Stewart and held off Ryan Villopoto.

Kinda like saying "I'm not rich enough"

Reed has finished 1st a lot, too. He wasn't happy with his ride early in the race. I bet the guys self criticism is fairly accurate and reasonable at this point in his career.

This thread started off well, then veered into talking about girls and took a dive. Not one hot girl post to be seen. Shame on you all.

Soccer had a hard time making it mainstream in Oz in a heavily Rugby, League and Aussie Rules dominated sporting landscape.

Thankfully that has changed these days. To say someone palys like a "sheila" or girl is bit of a light hearted putdown here.

I stay away from the whole sexist thing.

Bud.....don't take that kind of stuff to heart. It is just a figure of speech ya know? Like......

" He rode like a bat out of hell ".......Really? What does a bat from hell look like? pretty friggin' scary.....and is it fast?

" HEY!......Quit ridin' like a puss!"......What?.......why are you calling me female body parts?

"I will smoke you buddy!"......What? You're gonna light me on fire and start puffin' on me?

See what I mean......figure of speech. Don't get down on Chad about something that small and stupid. he respects women racers just as much as anyone else.
