you guys hate on ralph too much...he is not there to be the pro, thats what emig and RC are for.....personally, i think if you took ralph outta the booth, it would be kinda bland, rc and emig get quite boring...

I think Ralph is a horrible annoucer he has no clue as to what is going on and puts no effort into improving his knowledge of the sport.

Ralph knows how to keep talking with enthusiasm during the show... even if it is about nothing important. Emig and RC can't seem to do that.

I actually don't think that Ralph is THAT bad in general. Like it or not he is the professional in the booth. Eckman was better for one reason, his voice. Besides that, Art made just as many mistakes as Ralph does.

Guys, Ralph is there to call the race with almost non-stop jabber.
Emig, (and RC)are inserted to make points from someone who's been there.
All there is to it.

And btw, it doesn't take too long to see how much more polished Emig is at this than Carmichael. Tongue

For the past couple of seasons I have been too into the action to really notice most of what they are saying but when I am paying attention he isn't nearly as bad as the "experts" say.

Technically Reed is a privateer, but in reality he is closer to a factory rider.......but isn't.

I agree. I think Ralph does a decent job. Seems like he gets a little better each year.
It's not easy to keep things exciting when there's not a lot going on and the riders get strung out on the track.

I'm just happy as hell we get more live races every year. Hopefully, they'll all be live in the near future.

I have never heard an announcer on a live TV broadcast make a mistake, I bet he was the guy that put the Civic logo on the screen too. Why was this not of Drudge or the Huffpo?

We have a ton of live tv and I think Ralphie has improved immensely and seems like he really enjoys the sport-he is all good in my book. I don't understand the hate. You might not like his announcing per se, but the guy is no criminal. Jeez.
