They also said DM18 lost 40 lbs. I don't see where any of these guys are thick enough to lose 20-40 lbs. They are already in peak condition. That much weight loss, if true, could hurt their performance.

The #18 had plenty of room to lose 40 lbs. If there is one rider who has hurt his career by not training properly it would have to be Milsap.

I believe Davi has lost 40 lbs, but over the last 2 years combined. And as always Ralph doesnt have his facts straight, 17-18 lbs this year is more accurate.

Pretty sure he was talking about when he signed on with Aldon Baker... It seems RV has nothing but praise for him and im sure doesnt fight him like it seemed a certain other rider did... I always saw on "the show" that all AB did was battle with JS and his handlers, maybe that there is the difference, a dude that is wanting to do the work and a dude that is essentially being forced to do the work

I remember running into Reed at Hangtown. He was wearing shorts and flip flops. His bones were showing like an Olsen twin. These guys are getting super small. Thin is in.

Ralph is kind of stupid sometimes but he had me laughing all night lol. "The only time these guys get a break is when they are 70 feet in the air!". That one cracked me up the most haha

Not true, Lance Armstrong said he was better on the bike after he had cancer cause it ate away quite a bit of his muscle and fat tissue and just body mass in general. So i disagree, it makes complete sense that the less weight and muscle you're carrying is actually better cause you don't waste as much energy trying to fuel all that extra muscle you don't need, i believe that's what is hurting MA800.

Those are FELD numbers, 20lbs is 40lbs, 150 foot triples, 90 feet in the air, 80mph on the straights!

Thrills, chills and spills. Be THERE!

RV lost a ton of weight before last year. Everyone I've talked to this year think he's added muscle.

Can you imagine if MA800 hired Aldon Baker.....now that would be interesting. I agree on the muscle mass thing.

That is correct. I heard the same thing and thought, way to inflate that number, Ralph.

Lance didn't just lose weight and muscle, his body was totally transformed and he was forced to change his riding style.

Aldon would be great for MA800 but I doubt he is ready to deal with another primadonna rider and his handlers again, I'm pretty sure the whole JS7 experience may have made him a little more selective in who he chooses to work with.

Actually I've read several about him and by him as well as books written by his trainer Chris Carmichael from CTS. I'm a cyclist and a Lance Armstong fan. For you to say that Lance Armstong losing weight made him better on the bike is laughable especially when comparing to motocross riders who have to constantly wrangle 240lbs. His weight loss attributed from cancer simply helped him in one discipline of cycling which is climbing, which is a huge advantage to have in the TdF's mountain stages hence his 7 consecutive wins. Lance's weight loss didn't improve his fitness because he had less muscle.

Apparently the joke was lost on everyone... the "40 lbs" thing was tongue in cheek. Christ guys, get a grip.
