Huh. Only been at it 35 years. I wasn't aware I'd learned nothing. So I guess having the cases split on my 93 250 and working on my 500AF project is just an illusion, it's not me really doing it. As well as an 07 RM450 I bought CHEAP because some guy blew it up and didn't know how to fix it. That's on the go too. Wow.
Note to njloser46: Loosen your grip, and slow down your stroking motion. This will, in turn, relieve some of the pressure on your brain. It's affecting your ability to make intelligent statements. As in "At all". Oh, and get out of your mothers basement more often.

I feel your pain, brother. At least you can do it yourself. Major overhauls at a shop are KILLER! If you eliminate labour on the bill, it's easier to stomach. As long as the case weren't ventilated. THEN it's a problem!

Here is my setup. I installed all the shelving, racks, winch, and cabinets myself. All I have left to do is get the floor painted. Took me a few weekends but I am pretty happy where it's at. I bought the house new but it was already built. Just found out the other day you could have added depth to the garage as an option. I would KILL for another 4-6 feet of depth so my bikes aren't jammed up against the wall. Oh well. I think I've done the best with what I have. The powered lift for the C2 rower and sound system are the two things that are a bit over the top but I love them both.

Thanks. It's floor epoxy. I had it professionally done by a buddy that ownes Custom Garage Interiors. I traded him a scooter and I owe him beer the rest of my life. Blink

A few shelves for oil and misc parts and some tables for laying parts out on. I try to keep all my spares and stuff I don't use all the time in another shed I have that is basically a parts room. I don't like anything in the garage that doesn't really pertain to bikes.




I had a really nice setup at my old house in Texas, too. I liked it better than this one but it is long gone. My work bench had a better top than my kitchen. (Priorities)

How the mighty have fallen. I used to have a typical two-car garage scenario in the suburbs of NorCal. Currently, I'm rocking a storage space underneath an apartment building (metropolitan setting). I cry myself to sleep over it every night. But I'm going to make sure this is temporary...

Here is my shop setup. I built all the cabinets this summer from scratch....a lot of work but fun. Also, I have started in d "show us your toolbox/cool tool thread in the Raceshop forum...Just like the thread on garagejournal.com that has been running since 2007...I thought us dirt bikes need our own...Please post!

Some great looking set up's that you guys have that are giving me some ideas.

Mine are still works in process.

House garage:






We used the gladiator storage rails and cabinets for some of the household garage items. I love the park mats for the cars and the epoxy on the floor has held up well.

Separate garage:











I still have yet to decide what floor material to use. I like the epoxy but with the bike stands, lawn mower and other "stuff", I think the tiles for garage floors may be a better option.

I aways think the checker laminate sheets are a great choice in a garage...I just can't find them anywhere.
