1/14/2014 6:59pm I really like the RC high bend Renthals. I moved them to my yz250 2- stroke that doesn't have risers on and they are great. I liked on the 450 with risers but got tired of the cable problem. Been happy with PT KX bends.

1/13/2014 7:52pm 6'6 and change here. I ride an 08 YZ450. I have the fastway lower footpegs and love them. No problem with foot pulling off. I have an RG3 top clamp with their risers on them. Opened it up big time. I had some RC bend renthal bars (which I loved) but made with the risers made the bars so high...

4/27/2012 8:35am There are a lot of things that could be going on its hard to diagnosis over the internet. One thing is, the more rebound is sped up the worse you will corner and give the bike a pushing feeling. You want to ADD rebound dampening to slow them down.....meaning move the screw in to slow the rebound down. Its opposite...

4/25/2012 10:33pm Lots of question...I am taking your suspension guy has put in the right spring rates for your weight and the oil height is within the correct specs of your manual? Also, what are your clicker as right now?
I am also taking it, that you haven't tried moving the clicker softer? One mistake I hear a lot from my buddies...
kippy450 Added a reply to 09' RMZ 450 smoking at start up???
4/24/2012 10:29pm I don't think this was a overly anal buy. I am the same way when buying used. Plus, a leaky fork seal tells me that maintences isn't a priority, since they are easily fixed. I probably would have walked as well.

4/19/2012 10:49am Was it cold when you started? My friends 09 runs VERY rich when its cold. But I agree with the other to comments as well. Aways warm them up before someone looks at it. You want a one kick wonder!

4/19/2012 10:47am I am 6'6 and have the lowered footpegs on all my bikes. Not only did it lower them but moved them back. Just 210mx they are 1/2 inch as well. Best thing I have ever done. It always me push more on the pegs during cornering and opened up the riding position. With the stock pegs I couldn't use the...

3/27/2012 4:23pm I have run the MS3 starcrosses for years. Tough as nails and the rear lasts me a good year. This year I went with a Bridgestone 403 for the front and the MS3 in the back. So for the Bidgestone is working better on the more intermediate then the Starcross, which I think does a bit better in the softer...

3/27/2012 4:18pm I did that to my 2000 426 back in the day. The shop I took it to put a heli-coil but they didn't drill straight and it started leaking. Another shop put a time sert in. Since then I have put many heli-coils in and I don't understand way how that orginal shop screwed it up. They aren't that hard...

3/12/2012 9:12pm I freakin love my Smith amber mirrored lens. There is no better lens for the sun..perfect for summer days. Not good during bad over cast weather or cloudy days. When its super over-cast I use my orange lens....help brighten things up.

2/27/2012 9:51am Thanks for the info guys. I think I will pass on them.
They sell manuals on Rocky Mountain.com. I prefer the OEM manuals, but they are way expensive. Cylmer also makes aftermarket manuals...I am not a fan of those, but its better then having no manual. I like Maxima and Bel-ray synthetic blends personally.
kippy450 Started a new thread 2006 YZ 250 jetting?
2/23/2012 1:23pm I wanted to ask this question in the "09 denotation" thread, but its gone very "vital." I have a 2006 YZ 250 with PC system and is jetted per the PC suggested specs from the previous owner. I run prem. pump gas and am no pro. My altitude is around 2300-2500. I have not really messed with the jetting, so...

2/23/2012 1:23pm There is zero chance of me putting race gas in it....not happening...can't afford it! I have both the long and the short one....the long one does move the power up but its still likes the short shift and doesn't pull all the way through.

2/22/2012 11:30pm Great article pCp. Definitely will help me get the process more organized. Right now, I am not getting anything because its a bit cold up here in PNW to ride (to much snow.) There are a couple of things that were bothing me with the motor this summer. First, the bike has tons of low-end hit but falls flat in...
kippy450 Started a new thread Low Foot-pound torque wrench?
2/12/2012 10:01pm I have a 2008 YZ450 and the Cam cover bolts only require 7.5 ft/lbs of torque. I don't feel this is a good time to not use a torque wrench, so I am looking to get one that goes that low. Any suggestion?
