I banned him from the MCM Factory forums back in the day. Funny, he came up to me in the pits at a supercross one time and just asked, "your, thrashedkid right?" and I said yep. He chuckled and walked away.

tk_nowak A lot of blasts from the past here. MCM2 changed the whole course of my life. Got a ton of real life friends from that world and definitely met my current business partner (tk_bryan) in the Zone. haha. Been a professional "skinner" for quite ... more »

Is the 250F the Fonseca bike from N-Style? Edit: It's missing the top right bar clamp so I am going to assume it is. I had to oogle at that thing almost every single day in the office. Loved that bike. Congrats.

I figured there had to be some science behind it. Never was explained to me and I never really looked into it but thought I would pass it on. I assumed they had a pretty good reason. Makes sense. Thanks soopah.

Apparently the Alta engineers use spray bottles with alcohol in them to help cool the batteries. I don't know the actual science behind it but the alcohol is supposed to help dissipate the heat quicker, from what I heard.

A couple things I would consider. Try racing in Map 3. A good chance your lap times will be faster. Definitely start in 4 though. I actually prefer to ride tracks in 2, unless there is some big jump out of a corner I just cant quite get. 3 will always ... more »

I prefer OEM. If you trust some $8.50 Chinese bearings from eBay more power to you. Since it sounds like you need the hub more than I do, feel free to make an offer.

Plus another $100 for bearings, inner spacer, circlips and seals. If you want to go that route feel free! ?

Added reply in a thread ALTA OWNERS: Would you do it again? 8/25/2018 5:23 PM

I can't ride a normal bike without a finger on the clutch 100% of the time. That said, I would NEVER, EVER, want an Alta with a clutch for any reason. It works just the way it is..... a clutch would offer no benefit for me.

Well, I stand corrected. Always thought they were Ti as well. But, probably a good thing as those Ti ones had a tendency to break. Also, I have a set of those 24mx ones that made their way onto my 94 CR and they are bitchin. Rad valve, $120 shipped. ... more »

05+ YZ250 Both the Rad Valve and reed set have about 2 rides each and are perfect. I just preferred the stock power characteristic.
