So many good times on all your tracks Ryann, your work was phenomenal. Damn watching vid that really makes me miss it. The whole community was so rad back in the day, just hanging and chatting in the zone all day and racing all night. Best gaming times of our lives! Nothing has ever come close to MCM1&2 as far as the community. I think im still part of the TwistedDirt team, havent been there in ages, i should check in. Damn i could go on and on about that game, met some really cool people that i still keep in touch with, still talk with Todd (XPR_GREEN) every day.

Does the game run on windows 10? and will my sidewinder joystick work? I could go for a little oldschool fun!

I'm playing on Windows 10. All that I had to do was install a program called unsafedisc and download d3drm.dll

Oh holy hell! Ryan.....that was one of my very favorite tracks! I had no idea you made this? I turned 100's of laps on that track. And btw....I didn't use the joystick , I used an MS sidewinder pro pad. It did very well.

Thanks for that link man. When I get some time , I'm going to re-install MCM2 and see if I can get it working. I'm still running Windows 7 Ultimate , and never did get MCM2 to work on it , or XP.

I still have 100's of tracks put on discs as well. Would be cool just run this game again. And gawd dang , listening to that video Ryan put up.....the 4 stroke sound on that game , to me.....awesome!

My aunt got me MCM2 I want to say around 2000 when I was 8 or so for Christmas. I still remember my uncles installed it for me at my grandparents so I could play it that night, except they started playing when it loaded up and I had to watch haha.

Once I was a bit older my dad helped me set up the MSN Zone stuff and I remember being blown away with how fast everyone was. I always played with the keyboard so I'm sure that put me at a huge disadvantage, but I turned some decent laps back in the day. I never made tracks but once I realized I could download new ones it was like a whole new game to me. I had plenty of Spodeboy's tracks and a bunch of others that were great. Good times.

MCM2 also had the best Mx game intro ever; Incubus, Terrafirma clips, Roncada? Come on Cool

Right on TOK! I fully visualised that whole story, poor little bugger.Laughing I had the game but the old Pentium couldn't handle it so had to wait till we could get a new IBM.

I never got sick of the intro and it's still as awesome as the first time I saw it. Cheers for thatWink

Cheers to ProKawi24 for this thread too.Smile Cool

No problem man. Good luck and I hope you get it running because its just as fun as it was 18 years ago for me. If you have any problems let me know, I might be able to offer some more help.

If you guys like the intro song then youll probably like the entire Incubus album S.C.I.E.N.C.E. The intro song turned me on to Incubus and still jam to their old stuff.

I wish I knew how many hours I spent playing MCM2.

My user name was BeRm_BuSteR12 I believe. I had the fastest time ever on Slingshot (I think) on the TTM recorder and several other tracks. I remember some dude, OCR_rat or something like that, used to beat my records and I'd spend hours trying to get him back... good times.

I spent so many hours playing Slingshot on MCM and MCM 2. I had a big group of people hanging out at my house in my teens and 20’s and everyone who came through there spent hours trying to beat that 58 second ghost. I obviously played other tracks but that one track brings back so many memories.

Is the new mx vs atv worth it? Haven’t been into any games since mcm2.

Bought the mxgp games, terrible.

Prob the only way to get j law back racing is to get a good mx game out!

Still talk to a few guys, spoke to OCR_Green a year or so ago.
I had a 56.xx on TTM or Slingshot and a 55.7 ghost on 250 2 stroke.
Game went south after orn was cracked and nothing replaced it. Was good times though.
Fastest guys I remember Racing were oc, fogmeister and Mayhem. Really competitive and fun times almost 20 years ago.

FYI, the TTM Recorder is back online. Let me know if anyone tries and has any issues. I posted a few times and it seems ok. Maybe we can strike up some matches.

I'm pretty sure I remember who you are Smile . Were you affiliated with any 3 letter team in front of that name?

It was probably the 1 game I ever really played online and that was for 4-5 years solid, it was my life, and I loved it!. Never made any tracks or skins though, spent my time on the website and recorder. It's actually amazing to me that it runs so well in Windows 10. Ya gotta use that glide wrapper and 1 .dll and wham! it runs!. And it runs perfectly smooth to boot.

And slingshot, what a track, I still dig that track a lot.

Wow, a'lot of names in this thread I remember from MCM. Thanks for posting Carl.

I was tuff_snap or later on OCR_Snap.

I tried playing a few years back but without the sidewinder pro I couldn't take it.

I still play MCM2 every once in a while. I set up XP on seperate hard drive last year so I could play around with all the old track building tools and even uploaded another track over at MDXRacing.com.
My screen name was MickyD or TMD_MickyD.

Nice on XP!. It ran in Windows 10 fine a year ago for me then i upgraded hardware and it broke MCM2 and some other games but not all (even after clean install). Just recently upgraded hardware again and it started working again in Windows 10. Don't have any old hardware anymore to run an XP.

Awesome to see these recordings still around. Wish I knew how many hours I spent trying to get into the 38 second range on this track.

_X_Motopro here. God I loved those days! I loved to heckle people in the zone and get them so pissed off that I know they were crying sometimes...I can't remember many of my old X teammates. _X_Sampire is a guy who I later became real life friends with. And OC_Scottie, though we've not yet met in the flesh. I think one of the fastest guys ever was my teammate, _X_Pachelbel

Was it possible to be good with keyboard controls? lol I loved MCM2, but I was never that good. I blame it on only using a keyboard. Still play it for fun from time to time.

Welcome to Vital, man. I, too, was on RonRommx. Com under a different user name and played the heck out of Spode's EA Sports replica series.

Good times!

A lot of blasts from the past here. MCM2 changed the whole course of my life. Got a ton of real life friends from that world and definitely met my current business partner (tk_bryan) in the Zone. haha. Been a professional "skinner" for quite a few years now.

Apparently its offline for a late launch but I started MCM Factory with tk_madmac.

The TK from "thrashedkids" is still alive and kickin' a good 18 years later.

I remember playing in the zone with Jlaw (Jason Lawrence). I could kick his ass in the game but at the time I didn’t realize how fast he was in real life.

I banned him from the MCM Factory forums back in the day. Funny, he came up to me in the pits at a supercross one time and just asked, "your, thrashedkid right?" and I said yep. He chuckled and walked away.
