Haha yeah it's pretty legit but been sitting for about 14 years so it's missing some parts. I've tracked some stuff down. It's in transport right now so I'll know mor and have better pics tomorrow night.

Carbon fiber ignition cover and possibly titanium sub frame ? hmmm. I've noticed quite a few steely's coming out of hiding lately. MX trending maybe.

Nice Rob, can't wait to see what you do with it!

1999 Fonseca Vegas bike? Have you had any luck finding the 99 Seat cover, looks like an 01 one fitted?

It's missing a few odds and ends I've tracked down mostly. I have found a 99 seat cover but the white airbox says it's an 00. I'll know more about it when it's here and I can really dig into it.

Well it's here. I have been after this bike for nearly 2 years. Every nut and bolt is ti or aluminum. It's missing a piece here and there but I expected that. I'm gonna start pulling the motor and stuff in a few weeks but here it is and some stuff I uncovered as I was digging around. It has a ti wing but for the air filter, ti pegs looks like the old light speed DSP pegs, ti pins, factory clamps, gytr factory 2 stroke clutch perch, factory sand cast power jet carb with no choke, carbon fiber head stays, and a factory ymus 270mm front rotor. I'm sure there will be more as I dig deeper. It is missing the cdi, billet knuckle, and some carbon. I have found a factory skid plate and wp guard. I also found no numbers on the crank case half.

Nice find!

The part that is bugging me the most, is that some owner rode and used this bike, and didn't even care to get a straight clutch lever. Come on! Evil

Ah, i'm no expert on these things, but yeah airbox is the main giveaway by the looks of it - the 99 rad shrouds and 01 seat cover were throwing me off haha! 00 was a great looking machine though, would be good to get it back to it's former glory as i know you will Smile Keep us posted!

I have found with the 5 or 6 team bikes I have bought there is always random things going on. I am not sure if it happens in the middle of changing hands through out the years. Maybe one owner liked one piece better than the other from a different year. Just like my 03 pc bike it has 04 graphics. I think it becomes owner preference.

That bike has me drooling. Do you still have your Plano bike? You've got to put one of them in the bike show at Rio this year.

Lol! I did actually pull the reed block and it's all ported inside the chamber. Also has a full Hinson clutch. So I'm pretty pumped.
