Do you realize Chad Reed is from Australia, it's not exactly a short trip here and back to the U.S (2 days of traveling just alone). So when Reed decides to come down to Australia I'm sure he's going to take a decent break to hang out with family and friends and get recharged for 2012. Sorry but you cannot even compare RV, RD and JS when it comes to the off season.

I am comparing them because at a1 they will all race each other. I had a Aussie team mate last year I understand you all stick together and I also understand what it takes to get back to aus. I guess if I say anything negative about Reed it's a losing battle on this site and maybe that's why I am the only one stating the obvious that he complains a lot and it looks like he's behind right now. It doesn't matter at all what anyone does all off season really as long as they are winning races and a championship... that is all that really matters.

I guess again my main point is... I really think he is just fucking with everyone and gets a kick out of it. How do you spell Win-ger? Is that the correct way?

I really thought more people would agree...
Hmm interesting about the first part, what was your user name from 10 years ago?

The last part I agree, Reed likes to get on twitter and talk a bit of crap now and again for a bit of fun to get people talking but I don't think he's "whining" at all like some have said, he just says what he thinks and has a bit of fun with it. Reed has seen and done more then most Pro's when it comes to a MX/SX racing career and it's interesting to see his thoughts, he's also in a great position to make such comments (whether serious or joking) being a rider and owning his own race team, or maybe people would rather see nothing at all?

Good points... I respect him as a rider and a rider only... he has done better than I would have thought this year and probably almost any one on this message board.

Chad is a good dude and a great role model. I like how he plays the media. He is a genius. He is also super successful and will continue to make good decisions.

I miss MCM haven't found a game like it since. I was hooked and so was my Dad. We used to stay up until early morning and play. My SN was GcFarmboy ,I forget what his was.

How can any of you Possibly the biggest dip shit of all time sit behind a keyboard and call me a loser for doing the same thing?

I'm saying if I was GuyB I wouldn't agree with me either.

Not if I was some know it all punk such as yourself.

Isn't this message board for Discussion?

for the 125,435,4 time I'm not saying the fucking guy can't ride a dirt bike. I'm saying IMO (get that part?)

He's behind the 8 ball as of right now. Stewart didn't know his OEM and has been riding SX for how long?

RV is winning on a bike that he could not and RV just won everything under the son he deserves 2 weeks off he is the guy right now.

RD would not have taken that much time off regardless of a bike switch. ( not arguing he is probably testing more now than training where as before it might have been the other way.)

I will also say I don't think any of the above are fighting blisters right now.

I know to all the Reed fans I must be the dumbest loser ever. You don't have a clue what or who I am so why insult what you don't know?

Someone said I don't know his training program and you are right. Neither do you. The fact seem to be that he is claiming to have taken time off so obviously he hasn't done much. Again that's a bad blister... It's not my problem if he is burn't out and I am sure the others don't care too much either.

I didn't really think me saying that he complains all the time and tries to fire of this message board constantly was that big of a deal. Why would he mention that he was dropping off a Suzuki at the shop? So Ddavis can get the lube out? I don't know
I guess all I mean is IMO (that means IN MY OPINION) He's got work to do and he'd be better off concentrating on the other top guys than vitalmx.

Maybe I would be better off posting a picture of a stick so everyone can argue some more.

All this because of a picture of a blister?? Blisters can happen anytime to anyone, even at the end of a season.

Chad Reed has been at the forefront of world MX/SX for what 11 years? Im gonna go out on a limb here and dare to suggest he knows what he's doing and how much time off he can allow himself...

Good grief people, three pages of comments on Reed maybe announcing what kind of bike he's going to ride next year and the fact that he has a blister on his hand? They used to call this "silly season" because nobody knew how contracts were going to work out, now it's silly season because that's how the fans behave.

Couldn't agree more about the Tweeting and attention-ho'ing. I wanted to confirm this was his blister and his Tweet before commenting, and it is. That does not bode well for A1 lurking just....I believe only 9 weeks away now? Last year he seemed to be on it from the moment the season ended straight through, and I think his 2011 results reflected it. This off-season he seems to be reverting to what he did in the 2009 off-season heading into SX 2010. Of course it was the Kawasaki's fault.

Another gem from him yesterday

CRtwotwoChad Reed

1st day back riding SX had a blast! Fun to have goose and Sergio out there for the 1st time also.. #bringon2012

Just NOW riding the first day of SX? Well, I hope that works out for him.
Yeah I bet a thumb blister will take 2 months to heal and slow him down for A1
Yeah, I know, right? Sorry, I forgot there would be people here from AUS who cannot question any action by Chad Reed.

Certainly that blister isn't going to be an issue at A1. That is just dumb. Guess you're missing the point and that's fine. All of it is speculation and we'll see how A1 and beyond goes. I was just commenting that he went off to AUS in late 2009 and came back unprepared, got hurt a few rounds in, missed most of SX, then went outdoors and ended up blaming his bike for poor finishes. Last year he was in the U.S. working his ass off in the off-season cuz he had a ton to prove. I'm just seeing a falling back to pre-2010 mode preparations and maybe that's due to money rolling in again? I doubt he was getting blisters on his hand on November 5TH of 2010. He can do whatever he wants and I do hope it works for him. Just found it extremely odd to be highlighting the fact you haven't been riding. Maybe that wasn't even his hand and he is just BSing making other riders think he hasn't been riding? An angle I had not considered before....but also not something sponsors would want to see. Who knows with Reed. As if that is going to shake any of the others though if that is the case. Let's put it this way, if he goes out and wins both SX and MX titles in 2012, then the whole recharging the batteries idea indeed did work for him. If he doesn't win any title, it did not work for him. How many times have we heard riders say they know what works for them? Unless they are winning, what they are doing isn't enough, and that comment usually comes from someone that is not winning. So we wait and see.

So you think after all the racing and testing Reed has done this year 2 months is not enough to prepare for the 2012 SX season with the experience Reed has in SX. If he stays with Honda which it looks to be there shouldn't be to much testing needed on the bike itself, maybe some new parts here or there or test a few changes but he has been on the bike all year and think he would have a pretty good idea of where it's at right now.

Jay,

Are you doubting that Reed will be ready to go when Anaheim gets here?

I'm betting he will be. At that point it's not going to matter much that he had a blister on his thumb in November. I'm sure he's not too concerned about it.

People post random photos on twitter all the time. At the end of the day, it's just a tweet.

I'm more wondering and excited to hear his other sponsors.

Probably an official Honda announcement, a new title sponsor and secondary sponsors, and an announcement of expanded TwoTwo casual line from Shift.

My guess.

People are actually begging to be banned? Yikes.

Wow this thread amazes me! Look at how far ahead Chad is now compared to this time last year. I cant believe some people think 2 months isnt enough time to get ready. I mean he raced outdoors and he didnt have too. Give the guy a break. I have a question do you guys have blisters on your fingers from the keyboard?
