yes he was on it but dungey pace was closer to sx season middle markers.put reed, canard, stewart in the mix,the gap would not of been so big.
but to pull off 3 wins in one night is impressive no matter who shows up.

2012 is gonna be the most boring season EVER....RV is on another level

JS7 will nip at his heels and fall on his face trying to run his pace

thats how RC beat him.

It's too early to call yet. Dungey only has a couple of weeks on the Ktm and the other front runners weren't there. No doubt poto is on it but hopefully the other guys can find something in the off-season

he rode awesome tonight but some of you guys are getting a bit delusional come 2012 season.

Villopoto's bike seemed to be set up really good.

His great starts and conditioning paid off tonight.

Glad to see him get the bonus money too and for Monster's sake at least it went to one of their guys.

He's the new boss in town until somebody proves otherwise.

What a great year. Congratulations Ryan Villopoto!

he rides with so more much aggression then anyone else..you can just see it in his style

the only one with similar "aggressiveness" IMO is Barcia but his speed isnt at RV's level yet.

his rides his kx450f like a kx250f!!!!!

i saw him @ unadilla...no one, was even near him.

Poto is on it. him and that bike setup seem flawless everywhere.
I'd say Dungey, Reed and Stewart will have a busy couple months ahead. Dungey actually looked pretty good on that ktm considering but he sure didn't look confident and the bike was kicking like they talked about on TV.

I think so too. I'd put Canard next, and I think Dungey and Reed will be below them. Although I hope I am wrong and we get another amazing season.

One quibble: it won't be the most boring season EVER. Having lived through the McGrath and Carmichael eras, there is no way it will be that bad. I hope.

Congrats to him on a great, great year. I didn't think he would pull it off but he is just so damn strong right now. I hope he is rested, ready, and hungry come January 7th.

GREAT JOB RV1 !

Even though Stewart is the fastest practice rider on the planet right now he is still the fastest and most talented in the sport.

RV had a yr to remember but he had a lot of help from Dungey's bad luck.

People need to remember that A popped chain and a gas tank that ran dry is why he has a couple #1 plates.

Yeah because not making a main and costing himself possibly 25 points really didnt help the other riders catch up on their own misfortune!

RV, Dungey, JS, Reed, Canard will all make for another great SX Championship in 2012 with hopefully a few others pushing these guys.

And going by that logic, people need to remember how Dungey won his titles in 2010 right? You know, that season he was gifted two titles when 3 of the top guys weren't on the line.

it's this Stewart-fan mentality that I can not stand. This lemming, zombie-esque notion that the guys is the "fastest on da planet dawg"

My favourite is the Dungey fans who are throwing *'s around like ninja stars at RV . . but were prob the same guys in 2010 who said there was no such thing as a gift/* etc . . even though Dungey's stiffest competition was Andrew Short, Metcalfe and BT (on a good day), of course the same applied when Pourcel's motor blew in 09 . . . Now the shoes on the other foot and they *'s are flying! haha.

It's not a mentality. It's fact and quite easy to see. Stewart is the fastest and most talented rider. Deal with it. Nothing wrong with admitting it. Doesn't mean he's going to wax the comp or is guaranteed a championship or anything.

Even if he is . . its by a MUCH slimmer margin than it was 3-4 years ago.

No argument there. This is the deepest field since the late 80s-early 90's. It's how racing should be. Hopefully Canard is 100% by January.

I am not a Stewart fan. Facts are facts. Stewart crashes like no other but he is the fastest guy on the track when he is at the track.

oh so the fastest rider doesn't win now. THAT is EXACTLY the mentality i speak of. go out in practice, quad a rhythm, post it on youtube and cement your legacy right?

do you read this shit to yourself before you post it?

cocaines a helluva drug.

all you have to do to be the fastest sx rider in the world is quad a rhythm section, scrub a triple, and hype the ever loving piss out of yourself on youtube, apparently.

the lemmings will buy into it.

im not an RV fan at all, i dont even have a dog in the 450 fight, but i can say that come A1, JS wont have anything for RV. i wish he did though, as im a fa of the sport itself, and the competition/bar banging.

The way he rides (just as you described) is so intense and agressive. He has always attacked the track, but last night was different somehow. It is amazing to watch. For me, watching him ride solo with a 10 second lead last night was more exciting than watching 2nd and 3rd place duking it out wheel to wheel. They all just LOOKED was slower. I can't imagine the nerves he must've had on the line for the 3rd race....and he just pulled it out like it was nothing at all. Sick.

No matter how fast you are you can't win if you can't keep it on 2 wheels. Legacy? 3rd on the all time wins list, 2nd in the all-time SX wins list, 6 Championships and a perfect season to boot. Revolutionizing current racing in the process. Legacy was cemented a long time ago. Catch up.

You're just a hater, so I can't fault you for doing your job. No worries.

RV + Aldon in full force at this point, exactly what I feared for the rest of the field. Stewart fucked that relationship up and look at how that turned out for him. From 24-0 to his current state. The bar has officially been set for 2012. Poto has given the field a lofty target, lets see who can step up. Damn!
