Rider Profile: Damon Bradshaw talks with MotoXAddicts

Friend of mine Brian Lueddeke was out racing the big Vet race at his local spot Owyhee Motorcycle Club in Boise, Id. and Damon Bradshaw was out there tearing it up on the KTM 350. After the race Brian sat down with Damon and recorded this interview for the site. Brian's never done anything like this, but the interview came out really good. Damon talks about some really cool stuff and brings up that he may be racing the Monster Energy Cup on the KTM 350 in October. I'm holding my breath and crossing my fingers on that one. Would be awesome to see.

Thanks to Brian and Damon for doing the interview and thanks to Allen Picard "flyguy on vitalmx" for hooking up the pics.

No.. Not even close... More of a "he raced a Vet race last weekend and is thinking about coming back for one one-off race in October for fun thread". Whistling Haha!!

It's true what he says about the body hurting less when you ride. I think riding loosens things up, especially the lower back.

Really good write up Dan! And I agree with Moto east mag.....seems when I ride , exercise , ect , my body and health seem to be a lot better than when I become lazy. It makes sense really....as MX is one tough friggin' sport , and it beats you up the harder and longer you ride. Do it once or twice a week for us old folk , and definitely makes you feel better.

I'd like to take credit for it, but all I did was write the opening and find and post pictures. Brian Lueddeke deserves a ton of credit for a great interview. The guy has never done anything like this, but since he is a Bradshaw super-fan he jumped all over it and did awesome.

There is a supercross in Boise in October with a big payout being hosted by Cole Siebler, and today Cole confirmed Bradshaw was IN for it!

Thanks Dan for putting that together. I know a guy who could take lessons from you in reporting, maybe you would let him be your apprentice! Laughing

Motocross is the reason my body is so busted up though. Catch 22. And yes, I also really hope Damon makes the one off race, would be awesome to see.

That should be an awesome event. I'm also hearing about a couple/few factory guys that will be making the trip up there..

Hey I'll take them any day over the umpteenth JLaw thread. Laughing

If Damon does race I hope it will be in a Vet or Match race as he'll get his rear end handed to him if he lines up with today's stars.

Yeah, good interview. I can't believe he's only 39! Heck Dowd has been going at it contantly and he's about 6-7 years older than Damon.

It'll be interesting to see how he rides the 350. Like everyone has said, if he rides it like a 250 2-stroke then he'll do good. Damon should have no problem doing that. I personally think he should forget any pipe dreams about the Nationals, though.

I don't think he has any pipe dreams about Nationals.. The Monster Cup is obviously something his title sponsor wants him to consider to up the hype of the event, but I think he's more opt to line up at a Vet national than he is a AMA Outdoor MX National. I personally think even at 39 years old if he puts his mind to it he can qualify for a main event. Run up front? No way!

True statement swapper. Motocross can be a vicious circle. I tend to exercise to stay in shape for riding , and when i ride it helps me stay in shape. BUT....that theory goes out the window when you get hurt from a wreck. All in all....if you don't get hurt on your bike.....it's a great way to keep your body in shape.
