1. He got up and back on the bike.

2. Hitting the double straight away without hesitation.

3. Coming back through the pack to 14th.

4. Setting the fifth fastest lap time of the moto.

Actually the video was edited and there was quite a bit more time from the time he went down, till you see that scene of him back on the bike and the announcers saying "unbelievable, Chad Reed back on his bike". It was some pretty scary shiit there for awhile. It appeared that he was knocked out temporarily and when you watched it in real time, it scared the hell out of you. Or it did me at least. I'm a Chad Reed fan for life now. To get up from that crash and make it back up to 14th to save his points lead and possibly his season...UNFUCKING REAL is what that is. Chad is the MAN.
X2. It was easily around 40 seconds till they panned back to him starting his bike. My jaw dropped when I seen him falling out of the sky like that. I honestly thought his day or even season was over, the fact that he got back on the bike and hauled ass to 14th is incredible.

How can anybody not like Chad Reed, that guy is pure moto.

lmao...this all i got of reeds spectacular crashes in the last 5 years and i was gonna string together all of bubbas crashes but my fucking 2 terabyte hard drive froze up like a KTM on a deep sand track

In all seriousness, that's was quite possibly one of the most wicked crazy crashes I've ever seen! It was almost accentuated by the blurry internet stream we we're all watching when we first saw it.

Crazy nuttyness!

So glad he landed on that grass slope...that could've had one ugly outcome had he landed where his bike did (which BTW, how they heck was that thing not completely tore up...)

Reed was so aggressive in that first lap-he wasn't going to let Villy go. Passed him right off the hop and he was on it! He was going to step on their fucking throats today. That comeback was equal to Stewie at Daytona, coming back to 9th place from that crash. Reed is a moto stud no doubt.

And now we have the top 3 within 7 points! Motherfucker! This whole 2011 season has been completely crazyballs.

1) Say good bye to that jump next year.
1a) or the rough stuff approaching it next year

2)Reedy controlled his fall. In the air. All of these guy's are totally in the moment. Amazing. He saved his own ass up the face of the jump.

3)Thank god or whoever you want that this kid is safe. But he saved himself.

4)So glad he landed on the green stuff and slid down. So glad. I beleive he saw that and prepared for it.

5)I think we may have to consider some asterisks for the Ryans. But I doub't it. Reed is coming out swinging at Washougal. And he won't blame the crash, doesn't need to. Still holeshotting and has the lap times.

6) The bandwagon alway's has room. I ain't riding it because I like 'em all.

But wanna give a special thumbs up to that doggy haired Reed.

1st, Reed needs to take note of how James seldom piles up solo. You have to make big wrecks count by taking someone down with you.
2nd, how can you cap off an inspired ride like that one by just riding over to some shade and sitting down? He should have crossed the finish line and collapsed in the middle of the track in order to milk the drama for all it was worth. He should never have talked to Erin either. You gotta get a really pouty, mad look on your face and stomp off when things go wrong.
3rd, I'm looking for a detailed, scientific report on how Reed managed to be SPRUNG so high into the air. I ain't sayin' the SEAT or, SUSPENSION had anything to do with his trajectory but, I doubt his flailing arms increased his altitude.

James has more Crashes because he TRY HARDER and the Majority of the time it Pays off, Look at how many total Wins he has compared to his Crashes. Now compare all of Reeds crashes to how many total wins he has. And especially compare it to Mike Alessi Win to Crash Ratio.

LOL Reed has Crashed quite a bit in 2011 and its not even over yet. He is about equal to Alessi and Villopoto this year in Crashes.

Amazing the bike started right back up. Once Reed got going again I figured he would end up pulling off once his adrenaline rush was gone and relealize he was hurt. Truly amazing he rode away from that!

Woke up a little late this morning (in Aus) to turn the TV on and see the second Lites moto was on, so headed to Alli for some results, Reed wins moto 1 , 14th moto 2 mmmm

Head over here to find out what the go was, see the Video Holy Shitballs, that was scary to watch even after you knew he got up, would have hated to see that live or been watching the telecast live.

Just got the replay on TV here, watching the start of that race even knowing it was about to unfold seeing it again i still freaked out while it was happening, then watching the coverage you realise how long he was down for, if you were watching that live, you would be thinking the worst, he hit the ground and you seen him not moving then the flick back to the shot of the leaders (rightfully so) how he got back upto 14th after that i will never know.

And again it looks like the best way for Reed to actually get some exposure in the mainline sports reports in Aus is to have a massive crash, looks like all our free to air news services have picked it up and ran with it.

Stoner no matter what has coverage at every round of Moto GP, Reed just as successful and a bigger money earner has to fling himself 30 feet in the air to get coverage go figure.
