remember guys, EFI doesnt automatically mean more HP, in fact numerous manufacturers held off on the EFi because they simply couldnt get the EFI to put out the same HP as a carb. In fact I think last year KTM was doing lots of testing with the EFI and the carb on the 450 and the carb just flat out was better.
EFI =overblown hype

The world will end. Okay maybe not, but KTM is definitely getting their shit together and producing quality bikes. But why would you leave such a great bike to begin with.

If Dungey goes to KTM,would Alessi be out... and where would he go?

I think Regal should race GPs btw.

I don't see it happening, but Alessi would fit perfectly in the GP
For example Team Honda Martin, if the rumors are true Honda has big plans for coming years on the GP

I would like to see Dean Ferris on a GP team too, he has stated his desire to be World Champion and he is doing well in Australia atm.

The bike is just louder so it feels faster.

I know that there is a EFI factory bike in Cal being tested this week. Its being tested by one of the factory riders and a rider nobody wants to say.

I can understand the backyard mechanic not wanting to mess with jetting if he were to go from Seattle to Colorado to ride. However once your jetting is set how much do you change it....VERY little. If you're a factory rider why in the hell would you care, as you don't have to F with it, the mechanics do. They have a baseline to work off of. It's not like they are going into the unknown every week. They probably have the jetting figured out in 15 minutes.

I think it's just another way to increase costs to consumer for unneeded bullshit. Hype it up and every dumba$$ thinks he needs it.

I'm guessing that RD has already seen it and, possibly, taken it for a spin.

I hope he does well.
There has to be something all new in the works. The new EXC motor dropped something like 6lbs, I'm wondering if it's a test-bed for the new 450sx motor.

I don't think its the HP as much as the consistent . . . ummmm . . . carburation for want of the correct term. At least if you listen to what the pro's say about it in terms of making the bikes perform reliably without bog and hiccups in SX.

The EFI motors are just starting to get to point where the throttle repsonse is the same as the Carb's...

Alessi to LB/MC team. BobbyM would go bananas. BTW who would he blame if Mike doesn`t win championship?

From Racerhead #27:

"Ryan Dungey to Red Bull KTM is a done deal—that’s the word on the streets out here in California, though I can’t get anyone at the big orange building in Murrieta to confirm or deny that statement. Stay tuned for the breaking news soon."

Does RD's brother typically ride KTM's?

If he doesn't, any chance he's testing out the KTM for RD, since RD is currently under contract?
