Weird deal but I guess it makes sense. Allows Coop to get a head start on the Yamaha and KTM likely isn’t on the hook for his pay cheque every week.

sounds like a fair way to let him get on the other bike earlier in whatever format he chooses.

I cannot for the life of me see him passing up the SMX money. Shocking KTM wouldn't want him there, I anticipate he does well.

Class act by KTM to let him leave early.

I'm going to guess KTM did want him there and Webb didn't want to be on a KTM.

Smart move by both parties. KTM saves themselves money to someone who's mentally not really into the outdoors this season, and Coop gets to start preparing on the Yamaha for the SMX playoffs. I can't see Coop wanting to skip those, if for nothing more than to get some pre-season prep on the Yamaha, but the money doesn't hurt either.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's allowed to race a couple rounds of the WSX series as a special invited (not-team) guest like Tomac did last year.

If you ride that shitty as a two time supercross champ it’s better to take a brake and regroup

I would be surprised to see him race a Star Yamaha at any nationals. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him on one for SMX though too much money to pass up and a head start on getting some experience on it before Supercross.

Wonder if he’s going to try to jump into wsx on a Yamaha?

Is the bike really that bad he wants off at mid-season?

Pretty sure he’ll compensated in some way for the rest of his contract. Some kind of buy out I’m sure. If he’s injured and not riding then I would not think we’ll see him racing a blue bike anytime soon. Professional riders don’t race for free and I can’t see Star starting his contract early. Probably give him a bike and a mechanic but I doubt we see him racing. Unless he does some local events like his done in the past, and that would be pretty rad!

I'm pretty sure Roger has been trying to get him for a while. Chase and Dylan would be a great 1-2 punch to fight "The Hunters."

I doubt we see him at anymore nationals. He should qualify for SMX easily with the points he has.

Same here- typical moto media fashion we will never get the true story..

Head over to Cooksey - true or not guessing he will have a good take on it..Laughing

So the old suzuki is good enough for Ken to win on, the ktm isn't good enough for Webb to win on?

And the heavy blue pig that doesn't handle is the best bike out there?

Very confusing.
