All joking aside, pretty sure Tomac has done some WORCS races when he was FC Honda on a CRF250R...

Yep, he did them on Minis too.

Parked next to them for a few when he was on RM 85s.  Good people the Tomacs.

I loved the little rev limiter bump right at the end...  Wink

Can't wait for the gate drop!

The champ is back.

Can't wait for 2024. #2, #3, #4, #18, #94. At least 5 serious championship contenders plus a few wildcards.

This season is shaping up to be stacked! I am praying for some epic Tomac / Jett battles. Hoping Tomac comes out on top of course.

I think people might be sleeping on Ando.

Adam, how soon people forget, was battling Tomac and Ozzy just a few years ago, I believe in his rookie season. I think this will be the year on if the dust settles with his arm or not, but I wouldn’t rule him completely out of being a front runner. Time will tell, but I look for him to be in the top 7 of the field every weekend at least.

I cant help but still feel like the mx/sx community/fans got robbed last year. Tomac only being a 2 time sx champ for how long hes been in, how many wins he has, and how close he came last year with the title all but wrapped up is damn near criminal. That 3rd title would have put him ahead of stewart and reed who both have 2 titles, and just behind villopoto and dungey who have 4 each. This year he would be the reigning champ with a chance to tie the ryans. I still cant believe it. Its so much worse because he was winning, only had 1 race left, and didnt even crash.

Itd be easier to take if he had crashed out under pressure from chase or something, but him coasting around in first… still crazy to think about. Thats always gonna be the one that got away. I think it hurts the sport not having Tomac in that rarefied air of 3x sx champ to hold up there as one of the greats with all of the rest of his accomplishments. Everybody got robbed.. but chase lol.  Hes obviously still one of the greats, but man that one was shitty. Who knows if hell ever be able to win one again now? I hope so but he already had 1 foot out the door last year, its gonna be a tough ask vs jett, chase, a new kenny, ando..etc. It would be legendary if he can come back this year and get that one back, but even if he does it should be his 4th.. fuck man this sport is brutal. If he retires with only 2 sx championships then the sport def got robbed.

Him being a 4x champ vs him being a 3x champ and having this comeback story?

I feel the latter puts him in more rarified air. And honestly, that doesn't change if doesn't win it a third time. A bit like how Dungey coming back added to his story and pushed him further up and out into his own space. Him not getting a podium doesn't negate anything. He no doubt moved up in RV's mind and that's all that really counts.

Imagine if Tomac won last year then got beat by Jett in 2024 and retired a 3x champ. Or if he called it a career after dominating 2023. The story you created in your head isn't the only possibility.

Him bouncing back and taking it to these guys cements his status as a badass in the minds and hearts of his toughest competitors.

His story is his story and I love it. What a stud.

I don't feel robbed (I did at Hangtown).

I feel grateful we got him coming in strong for 2024.

Well let's be honest, he should have won 2017 and 2018 aswell. I'm usually not that kind of guy, but to win this many races in a short period of time without grabbing a title is not normal. He won 17 races just in those two years alone.

This year honestly felt like a WWE Royal Rumble, the last man standing ultimately won the championship, I almost got sick watching all the crashes and injuries (specially with Tomac and Webb in the end).

About your last part.. Yes this sport is brutal.. But you know what's even crazier to me than Tomac only having 2 sx titles? That we might see Kenny, one of the most talented guys to ever ride a dirtbike eventually retiring without a 450 sx title. It truly shows how special guys like Dungey and Villo were to be this consistent in this era.

And as people already said, this is shaping up to be an all timer season. I'm not gonna say most stacked season ever until A1 is there and everyone lines up healthy, but so far it is looking awesome. We were at a point a couple years ago where we were sure that guys like Tomac, Kenny, Barcia, Anderson etc would have been retired by now but instead of retiring we'll see the top three 250 riders from the the last years joining them. I'm hyped.

I think everybody is looking at this all wrong. I am starting to think Star and Tomacs talked and asked if they could bring Hayden out. This makes more sense because Eli is training for A1 coming off a good injury and needs to find aggression. Well who has that in spades and is on the same team? Yep Hayden Deegen. He is the rabbit for Eli right now

I am looking forward to the '24 season maybe more than any other previously. Eli coming back, Webb and Sexton on new teams, all the Jett hype, Hunter's 450 debut...

BTW, I reached out to Eli to come on the MotoXpod Show next Wednesday night. Hopefully I get a confirmation soon.

Yea thats definitely true about Kenny but I think ppl understand his position due to his crash and its been an incredible story coming back from almost losing his arm. When you look at the stat sheet and he has 0 sx championships it is shocking, but then you remember his story and if anything its even more shocking that he was able to come back from that to where he is now. Its been really cool to watch his progression over the last year and I almost feel like hes riding the best he ever has at this very moment because of guys like jett and sexton pushing him. Theres only 1 champion at the end of the year so theres always a bunch of guys missing out and there always end up being ppl who should have more, but I think we have to look at kennys career as pre crash and post crash and post crash kenny I think has overcome much more than a championship and like the other poster above said about eli its the same with kenny where he has an epic redemption arc post crash championship or not.

I believe the 24 SX season will be down to two riders....Tomac and Jett.

If Sexton can get himself dailed then it may be a three way battle..but that's a long shot.

I can't see anyone else raising to Jett's level. Tomac has to rely on his experience to be up there every weekend. He will also need Jett to have a few rookie mistakes.

The long and short of it is that Jett is a fucking first class starter and that alone equates to a podium....or a win for Jett.

Can't wait...

I might have to eat crow, but with the 450 lineup we have for 2024...I don't see either Anderson or AC doing any real damage.
