I think he does race MX because he planned to last year. Similar to how he came back to SX this year, not doing MX again would mean his MX days were not ended on his own terms. They were ended by a freak injury. He seemed to finally be hitting his stride and then had the ankle injury. Now he appears to be hitting his stride again. Would he decide not to race MX when he finally got back to his old self right before it begins? And we all know everyone not named Jett wants to be the first to beat him. My guess is he does MX one more year then maybe some more SX in 25 and beyond.
If he continues his St. Louis success for the rest of the Supercross season...I expect him to race this summer.
Dirt conditions for Saturday don't seem to favor another Tomac win. But who knows...
He said a week ago he didn't know yet if he would ride any Nationals. That probably has not changed in a week.
Will be tough for him to skip Southwick though IMO.
I think a healthy ET3 is the real outdoor threat to Jett. Would love to see him go for it this year!
Agreed, Jett hasn't seen true beast mode yet.
It's not similar to '23 sx at all. He had that title in the bag and it was ripped away from him. He didn't even line up for a single National last summer. He ended his National career on his own terms, winning the title in '22.
He'll never win another race!
Tomac beat Chase in 2022 when he had to for the title. So he raised the bar when it was crunch time.
I think he could do the same with Jett. Hope we get to see if possible. But it doesn't sound like it will happen.
Maybe getting a SX win is all he wanted to prove to himself...and he did it.
He would need beast mode when Jett starts at the front every moto, managing a 10sec gap.
Tomac also hasn’t raced the new Yamaha outdoors. Given the issues Ferrandis had with it last year, I’m not so confident Tomac is gonna be comfortable on it.
We haven't seen Jett at 100% speed for outdoors yet either.
Wow, no respect for Sexton who beat beast mode many times, comes within 1 point at the last round of the Nationals? Then Jett goes 22-0 keeping Sexton winless in 23….my money is on Jett this summer no matter who lines up. No disrespect to Tomac but 18 is on another level.

I hope re races outdoors, even if its only some. The only way I was able to watch the 2022 mx races was a stream on youtube or a discord live stream. I was so happy when the deal with peacock was annoucned.
If he wants to race SMX finals, I think he is going to need a couple gate drops in between.
Would love to see him on his prev gen bike. Man he looked good on that.
The beasting he took at his other 'house' (Daytona) may have been too painful for him to want to go through it again @ Southwick.
