Only $10 for all 2026 SX, MX, and SMX series.
I think was already released like a week ago by Mav.
A few notables:
A main event win in either supercross or motocross only qualifies the rider for an LCQ appearance. So for instance, if Roczen would hypothetically fall out of the top 30 in points while he's away racing WSX, he would at least still be able to qualify into each main event through an automatic LCQ appearance. Risky, but still possible.
Each SMX main event win pays $100,000 for 450 , $50,000 for 250.
So if a 450 guys sweeps all (6) SMX moto's, he banks 1.3 million dollars for 3 rounds of work in purse money alone. Jett Lawrence is probably salivating...
The incentive to race in the states and stack points is greater than ever. Pretty good payday's all around.
The article explains the full format of the races and everything. None of us have the per-night purse breakdown though...yet.
Basically impossible. If Roczen doesn't do a single outdoor, he won't fall out of the top 20.

Partial or full list? If I missed it and it's a repost, apologies.
I figured it was fresh news since Weege posted the article a few hours ago.
Right, I said hypothetically. It was the only rider I could think of who had a win but wasn't going to be very active outdoors this summer and stood to lose the most points. But as you stated, not likely to happen.
Are the LCQs part of the night show? Or will they be part of the daytime program like with the triple Crowns?
I posted the full breakdown last week on page 2 of the following thread:
https://www.vitalmx.com/forums/moto-related/smx-payout-updates?page=0
We still don't know the full purse breakdown for each of the 3 SMX rounds. I just know that it's a lot more than a regular SX round, and that it's paid out to 22 guys in each class as oppose to all 40 that make the night show.
I'm going to guess they're going to be part of the day program along with qualifying.
Even though the top 20 riders are seeded, they'll still need to qualify for their gate picks.
Is each race a 3 moto format?
It's in the Racer X article. Two moto format for each class.
Would really be a shame if they aren't part of the night show. I imagine it would be easy for the analysts to build drama through the LCQ's in anticipation for the main's, but there are probably quite a few factors at play. With being on Peacock, not sure why they couldn't just run a longer program, considering the time it takes to broadcast an outdoor race. We will see.
I would guess they want to start the broadcast with the best of the best on the track first since it's the playoffs. As long as they still cover the LCQ's in Race Day Live, I'm fine with that.
Is it just me, or is the "+" (for more info) on their FAQ web page broken? https://www.supermotocross.com/faqs/
Yeah, same here. It opens but collapses before you can read anything.
Individual race purses, as provided by RacerX.
https://racerxonline.com/2023/06/20/smx-payout-details-and-position-bre…
"In addition to the championship points fund being awarded, each of the three events will also have an individual race purse of $404,810, the largest in offroad motorcycle racing.
First place in the 450cc class will collect $100K, second place $50K, third $25K, fourth $10K, fifth $5K, sixth $4K, seventh $3,900 then continues in thousand dollar increments to thirtieth place, to include the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) competitors.
First place in the 250cc class will collect $50K, second place $25K, third $12,500, fourth $5K, fifth $2,700, then continues by varying amounts to thirtieth position to include the LCQ competitors."
We like to joke, but this is the most money riders have ever gotten a chance at. Imagine being a privateer getting 30k extra. That's literally the difference in a lifestyle that can keep more riders on the gate.
They should also ditch the "playoff" moniker after this year and just refer to it as the "postseason." Not really a playoff if no one is being eliminated, right?
Pit Row
Why would any of the top US guys ever race in WSX over SMX is beyond me....$100k for a win vs $40k maybe depending on the deal with the team as the money is paid to the teams and not the rider.
Race bonus of $100k for a win in SMX vs $0 in WSX...$1M bonus for SMX championship vs $0 for WSX....
This again 😂 two answers .. 1. Money 2. None of them give a shit about outdoors
Who is footing the bill for the SMX payout?
I believe they can do both (SMX & WSX) as the dates do not conflict. The dates conflict with the MX series.
We, the paying watchers, and consumers of product are of course.
And how is that working out for you....Kenny took the bribe money....he's not there for the purse...everyone else is racing SMX and as those that are injured return they will be racing outdoors and not WSX...they make more money staying home racing SX,MX and SMX...WSX has not delivered on any promises they made since it was announced, at some point you see that your dislike for anything American has blinded you and you will realize that you have been had by a snake oil salesman...
Just one race now...Red Bud
MX Sports and Feld Motorsports, via a new media rights package with NBC.
Talking shit again , I’ve got nothing against anything American I love outdoors , privateers can earn more doing sx only doing a lot less , talents like roczen etc can earn a lot more when contracts come up like his did , wsx may well fail neither me or you know what the future holds for them , but it’s a stone cold fact a lot of riders would rather be sx only
A couple questions:
Jett will be qualified for both 250 and 450, even without racing the SMX 3 races he may end up with enough points to finish top 22 in the final SMX 250 class, does he get paid for this finishing position?
Also do injured riders that make the top 20 in points and do not race the SMX races earn their purse money too? Tomac, Jermey Martin, Etc. Or will they be replaced by healthy riders? they say only 2 spots will be filled by the LCQ. So there could be empty gates by LA
Good point
No money for qualifying, only finishing positions in the 3 races.
