Oh man, that sucks..i know he had his battles, just like his great friend and legend Swinkster. Those two were tight and that's the last time i saw or spoke with Kitsch, at Swinksters funeral. Bummer to read this but, if there is such a possibility, i suppose those two would find each other again and talk a bunch of shit to one another about the old days of moto..racing, wrenching, trouble, partying..etc. RIP Kitsch...say hello to the Swinkster

yeah they were very similar and grew up together. both had their demons but god damn they were fast on mini's.

Damn, sorry to hear. I rode with Kitsch a lot when he came down to Florida through the winter months.
Damn, I remember him from the mini days and he was fast. That makes it seem like he would be mid 50's now, kind of too young to be celebrated. I forget where he was from. RIP and God bless.
He was from Saginaw michigan, He would be 53 or 54 now.
yeah i think he was year younger than me and i'm 54. so 53 sounds right. and yeah was from shields mi which is outskirts of saginaw.
was goin thru old photos reminiscing today and noticed this one. swink riding up a class with us at baja back in 85' or so. swink #6 leads johnny and me on holeshot. swink and johnny were so light on bike was hard to beat them to fist turn.

RIP, remember when I first started racing in ‘89 he showed up to Aztalan, a local track for me along with another TUF Suzuki rider. Was amazed by how fast he was, he was parked next to me and talked to me like he knew me even though I had no clue what was going on. Sorry for your loss.

I was lucky enough to race against him several times in Florida during the mid 80s. Really fast guy on the track and a really good dude off the track.
It’s always sad to lose someone too soon like this, especially someone you spent time on the track with.
RIP moto brother.
I remember watching him at Polka Dots riding his Tuff RM 125 wearing Apico gear, throwing his bike FLAT and SIDEWAYS off the middle infield jumps. He was a fast as hell. I think he had a massive lifted custom truck at that time.
