My first time going and won't be my last.
Stayed Friday night in Syracuse. Got to the track at 0730, pulled right in across the street and was in the front row. Walked right into the track and was in awe! Dirt was like chocolate cake. We got our t-shirts and watched practice. We ended up doing a loop of the whole track. Access was great, paths and tunnels everywhere.
Plenty of bathrooms, never had to wait more than a minute to use one. Race was over, we walked back over to the car and pulled right out. Only wait was at a stoplight down the road. Unadilla has their shit together, best event experience I have ever had at a national.
👍
Glad it treated you well and hope you return! Forecast kept the crazies away for sure. Our "general camping" lot was super calm and quiet by 11PM (for the most part). My sons and I had another killer 'dilla weekend.
Was known at one time to be the roughest section of track in the world. Now it's a freeway with an uphill booter.
So much goodness in one pic. The Man, Marty Smith, great natural track, and fans at the edge of the track.
Edit: and Warren Reid
The Shop
It's interesting to see how many more jumps there are at Unadilla now. I've gone since the late 90's, though the last time was probably 10 years ago now. I think the only two jumps I could do without would be the jump after gravity cavity jumping back down hill and the jump after the start.
I used to think the uphill section going towards the back before the skyshot used to be cooler too. Seems like they took some of the bumps out.
Looks like you had a great time, and ate well!!
Awesome pic!!!!!!
Best thread ever. This is what Moto is about.
Thanks for sharing. Looks fantastic.
Coming from that era...I won't say it was better. It was tougher though. You had to be pretty ornery back then.😉
Hey Premix, your pix describe Unadilla as much as any” on track “action pix do ! Looks like them boys had a weekend they will likely never forget ! Way to make memories.
Very similar to the old Sears Point track in CA.
Isn't that picture from Sears Point?
Thanks Brother!! They always have a BLAST and talk about it for a week after!! Truck leaves for Budds in 72hrs. We will see everyone there!
Looks like a great time, Dennit!
That's Sears Point track in Northern California, not Unadilla.
Correct,
I believe that is a FTE photo as well.
Great photos Dennis!
Thought the same.

Who is the idiot that finished 10th place? He don’t come around here no more.
Sperm Beard himself.
I think Bobym got clipped.

This is how I remember it as a kid. They should do Unadilla like this 1979 video each year as a throwback race. Think heads would explode?
Was and epic day.
He and Engine ice guy seemed to flame out around the same time.
Nice job bringing out the old gangsters with a joined date before 2010, Dennit.
Did Screw U get steeper over the years? It doesn't look as gnarly in that video as it does now. And they need to bring the dip on the start back. It wasn't anything difficult or dangerous, but it was an iconic part of the track for sure.
No and no. There is a tunnel there now.
That was my first Dilla! Thought the race would be canceled due to the destruction the night before. It was insane! A great era for MX!
