I missed it, what happened?

It looks like Ando took Hunter wide on a flat corner, and Hunter lost the front end.

I only saw a second of it on the telecast, so I could be wrong.

Without that incident Hunter could have been 5th maybe.

Thank you, I will have to go back and rewatch the race. I totally missed it live.

I wanted to see what happened too.  Commentator, I think RC, can’t remember made it sound like Anderson took him out.

Looks like Hunter tried to close Jason off in maybe not the most advisable situation.  I’d put it more on Hunter but realistically just racing incident.

Look where everyone is turning and look where contact is. Aggressive move for the first lap. I just don’t want to hear the aggressive guys crying when it happens to them! Both Barcia and Anderson like to dish it out, but don’t like to take it.

It wasn’t a dirty move. I was surprised Hunter lost so many spots. I know RC’s job is to make the race more interesting but he typically blows things out of proportion.

I don’t like when RC plays judge and jury on TV with the penalties. I feel like if he sees it and mentions it the AMA has to go over it with a magnifying glass and they do nothing to the slew of other penalties that RC doesn’t mention.

It’s pretty easy to lose a ton of positions when on the ground during the first lap. Anderson would have been pissed if someone had did this to him. They had top 5 starts seemed a little early for take out.

Lol... Hunter left the inside open for sure but from that pic it doesn't look like Ando was even gonna attempt to corner until Hunter either went down or off the track.  (Maybe they got locked together...hard to tell).  Aggressive...yep but not overly.

Barcia definitely acts likes he's a choir boy and all his transgressions were ages ago. Ando dishes it out and can take it though. When has he complained about someone riding him dirty?

I’m surprised that Hunter went down. He got bumped. It wasn’t a take out move. Go watch it again on TV instead of letting your brain try to decipher the stop motion imagery from these screenshots.

I thought he acted like a cry baby during that Jett deal where wanted a personal apology instead of a Instagram or what ever. When he had done the same type of apology last year to Barcia. As veteran rider with his past it made him look bad. Wasn’t he on probation for the AMA last year for dirty passes? He’s put a ton of questionable passes on other top riders who don’t want to give him payback because they’re in a title chase and know it we never end. I felt it cost him the title in 2022. So to your point he doesn’t complain much, because top riders don’t put the aggressive moves on him in fear of retaliation.

He wasn't being a baby.  He was telling everyone to ignore the social media crap as it wasn't Jett posting it and he wasn't buying it.

He wanted a personal apology instead of letting it pass and being veteran guy who made plenty of mistakes as a young rider. Jett acted like veteran and said nothing after the incident and Anderson kept it going in the media.

Jett didn't say anything, his team/agent posted some BS as if it was him.  I guess Jett grabbing his helmet after the race was doing nothing too.

You give them and inch, they take 5 feet. Hannah would have done exactly same move. Left too much open. Anyone in pro racing would have done exact same move. Hannah/Anderson don’t like people stealing their 💰💰💰💰🏆

That was nothing comparing it to real racing back in the 90's. Yes I'm old, will admit it ,but still ride weekly and occasionally race. Even at 67, I'm not letting someone come in wide on me if I have position. I think many feel you need to be polite or PC on the track. This is racing, not driving down the interstate with others not paying attention to where they are driving. JMO

So Jett isn’t responsible for his own Twitter account? So he didn’t approve of the apology posted on his account? You must be a Jett insider to know all this, because I don’t. I’m just saying Anderson handled it poorly as a veteran rider with his own questionable past. I think he was taking advantage of the media and getting attention. Being in the news is a good thing!

Hunter's done a lot worse, so I don't know that he has any right to complain.

Your point of riders not starting with him for fear of retaliation definitely has weight. No argument.  The Jett deal I really put on Jett, to be honest. Ando was riding back to the truck and Jett stopped him and he put his hands on Jason first. I'm a fan of Jett, to give context

image 168Sometimes I’m jus’ gonna have to disagree with you. Who’s “inside” and who’s turning in on who?

Look, I see that Hunter came in on a good run…from the outside…and “attempted” to shut the door on El Hombré on one of the well known shittiest corners…a flat corner…on last nights track…a truly shitty corner for this kind of move.

So, anyone that’s raced that type of turn, from Lake Madera to Carlsbad to last nights SX, knows that when you’re on the outside? Well, you may not be racing…you just might be bowling; and, you could end up being a bowling pin.

Been there, done that, got the scars Laughing

I yield back to the Gentleman from Kansas.

Jason decided not to turn. When he could’ve followed Webb and made the pass with little or no contact. Classic Anderson.
