He's 11 years older, he has two toddlers, and he just beat the fastest kid on the planet who's in his prime. I don't care if that was "just" qualifying as Jett was giving it everything he had. Jett did not want to lose that number 1 spot at A1 for both bragging rights and pride. You could see Jett trying so hard that he was making mistakes, and he surprisingly looked winded after that qauli session. I'll be honest, I was not expecting to see that.
I realize race results could be different but Eli just answered the question that he can match Jett's speed, which not many people were thinking was possible being a 32 year old on his way out.
No doubt!, he's a bad ass. hope he can stay healthy
We won’t mention the Star team practicing on a replica A1 course all week… 🤣
Same dirt, same sand, same ruts, same temps, same lighting, same pressure, same lappers right? Give me a f'ing break.
Good lord, ok team Honda is at a huge disadvantage. Right down there with BarX and Beta.
The Shop
DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
Luxon 4-Post Bar Mounts
$189.95 - $239.95
Nope, just the same layout. You saying that was a waste of time and money?
You do realize any of the teams could have a replica track built, right? If they didn’t, then that’s their loss.
Does Eli have the red plate now? He beat Jett lol
I mean, I’m sure HRC could have afforded to do the same, and maybe they did and didn’t mention it to the moto media. Who knows? But it was clearly reported that Star Racing DID do that; pretty sure they thought it would provide an advantage, otherwise why do it?
Sure. As I’m sure you realize the OP mentioned all of Tomac’s disadvantages without mentioning one of his bigger advantage. All I was saying. And I even used a smiley face!
Not bad for an old guy!!
I’d bet some decent money that most teams were on a mostly replica track especially the Huntah brothers.
Eli was in Arizona for the last week or two so he wasn’t even riding this track you speak of.
You can’t replicate enough of dirt, build, grooming, ruts, other riders…..that that advantage holds really any weight, whether Eli rode it or not, once the top riders ride practices and Q1.. Eli earned that straight up.
Eli’s a beast, but it only qualifying. Just sayin
Man I hope Eli blows their doors off..
Other teams don't have the ability to do that? Sounds like they are more dedicated to getting themselves prepared and it may be paying off, but on the other hand. Explain the usually fast in quali J Coop going 12th then. Track maps are posted. It's not illegal to build a replica, just costly. Hard to fault a team for going all in.
Obviously it meant a lot to him. He went balls out last lap and nearly tucked/tossed it a couple times and BTW, it wasn’t practice, it was qualifying. Same but different.
Pit Row
I did not know that. Guess I should delete everything I wrote. 🙃
Anyone know if Eli is doing the scoop thing again all season?? I didn’t hear anyone on RDL mention it.
I’ve also heard in baseball that players hit BP with the slowest setting, you know so when they actually face a real picture with a 94mph fastball it’d be completely different. Maybe the factory teams should use completely stock suspension and only set the sag, don’t wanna do anything that might be better than your competitors. 😝😜🤪😂 just messing
Say it with me "ONE MORE YEAR, ONE MORE YEAR!"
They (Star) has done that a few years in a row and it hasn’t made a huge difference.
You still have to execute, doesn't matter the pre race prep. Things are always different race day.
Should change username from Not Hillbilly to Not Right
Do you guys think if I had an A1 replica track I’d be able to make the night show
I would imagine Eli won’t push it to hard for a win at round 1. Be happy with showing the speed and in the hunt.
I absolutely love Eli’s gear tonight. That jersey is killer.
He absolutely dropped the hammer at A1 in 2023 even after crashing mid moto. If he feels it, he will go for it.
If it was a Mudder…
Post a reply to: Eli is a F*cking Beast....
