Less than an inch of rain will just get sucked up and not be an issue.  It was supposed to rain here today and not a drop.  Sun was out most of the day.   But we are still a ways out so who knows.

Same concern every year. Hope it’s a dry race!

Agreed! I’ve been going to A1 every year since 01, rain or shine I’ll be there.

A1 forecast . Dark in the evening, continued dark throughout the night , turning to widely scattered light in the morning man .

"Bench clearer"....nope, that's not right.

I stand with Weigandt's theory: all they need is a window and the track crew can work miracles. Having said that, something like Vegas 2016 where it pours heavy in the afternoon is quite hard to recover from. Or Seattle 2018 which was a quagmire all day long. Lucky me, I was at both but at least Vegas was raceable.

The weather forecasters here love to predict rain. I pay attention to the forecasts a lot because it affects our work schedules. I can tell you with 100% certainty that it NEVER rains as much as they predict it will 7-10 days out, never. EVERY single time they predict days and days of rain in the ten day forecast the percentages and amount expected gets lower with each passing day. Watch the forecasts change the closer we get. $20.00 says the parking lot at A-1 will be wetter from poured out Monster cans to get in the pits than from rain. Tongue

I don't have a clue what it's going to be like at A1...  it looks like it might be a bit wet.  Wink

What I will say, if it is a mudder, the results are often a bit of a dice roll.  And that makes EVERYTHING more interesting.
