Who doesn't want to be there?

Webb does, if he didn't he wouldn't be.

I'm a little surprised there aren't more fill ins going on to fulfill sponsorship obligations for bikes/logos on track, but I guess maybe it doesn't work like that now or maybe there is just nobody available that the teams are willing to put on their bikes.

Webb wants to be sx only , I agree though from a sponsorship point of a view it doesn’t look good one bit , I personally prefer the outdoors Mxgp and ama  and it is a shame to see , thankfully the 250s are stacked 👍

I think that’s going to grow over the years to with sx only contracts , from a riders perspective it’s hard to blame them , no money what so ever in fill in rides and waiting for people to be hurt , is a real shame though

What a feeling that must be when you're a factory rider now and still race for second at best. I really hope Dylan is finding his form and will battle for wins sooner than later, he will be the only one who can eventually give Jett a run for his money. We definitely need Barcia, Anderson and the rest back.

At least the 250 will be really exciting this year.

Would never happen but I’d like to see a rule in AMA similar to WSX where by each team must field 2 riders.
This A. Keeps the field full of factory bikes which is good for the series and B. Gives plenty of privateers a chance on a factory bike. Even if it never leads to a ride for them they get the experience and get to save a fortune racing for a team instead of funding their own programme. That in turn can help fund their own programme going forward resulting in an even more professional field in the future.
All upside as far as I can see

Went to buy my tickets for High Point a few days ago and it looks like prices jacked up a ton for this year as well. It’s friggin $65/ticket for general admission. I don’t remember it ever being that much. And come High Point it’s going to be 100% privateers at this rate.

I Iove the idea, and the enthusiastic/idealistic side of me is right there with you mate 👍

I imagine in reality it would lead to riders or the smaller teams/privateer outfits bailing on or letting down sponsors and deals and stuff or conflicting sponsorships, awkward logistics or awkward team dynamics, headaches over payments/remuneration, loads of other boring shit that shouldn't really be a problem but you can bet would become a problem in a professional environment, etc.

I appreciate if it was a legit rule, it would put everyone in the same boat and they'd have to work it out together and make it work, so you may be right man.

Cool idea but feels like too big of a can of worms for the manufacturers to agree to as it isn't already an established rule at the moment.

Look what DC and Mx Sports did to motocross. Sad. Paying these guys so little and failing to secure the biggest race in the world Glen Helen. So many fans and riders are getting screwed because DC can’t do business like a grown up.

Dylan finding his form. I've read this everywhere. Geezuz, the guy needs to find 44 plus seconds of speed. Or around 2.5 seconds or more per lap!! Can he close the gap, I hope so, I believe he can. But, closing that much? Not going to happen. Jett needs to have mistakes that cost him time for Dylan or anyone else other than Sexton to even have a chance. With Sexton out this week, the 450 class is done. It really sucks, but maybe something happens?

My wife and I will be in Rochester, MN on the weekend of July 15th, so she said she would go to the Springcreek National with me. It will be her first in her life. I'm excited to go and for her, but I'll have to explain to her why in the 450 class there is a rider, (maybe 2) that took the checkered flag, the race is over, we've walked a mile to our truck to leave, but still hear bikes on the track racing?? For that 3rd podium spot!!

Hey bro this scenario basically went down there in ‘06 when Ricky lapped the whole field

Most teams already have an A and B rider, are you suggesting a C rider that just waits in the semi for someone on his team to get hurt? This would have to be a bottom of the barrell privateer, everyone else would already be on a full time ride. I dont see how this would make racing better, putting a 40th place guy on a factory bike wont make him a podium threat

I think you need to chill. You should probably look at the AMA if anybody. AMA is the one paying out pennies, charging the track owner $100k's to hold a race, then also taking some of their gate entrance fees. AMA makes (according to their site) $11M a year, and also owns $9M is assets. I thought they were here to preserve our right to ride and race motorcycles, not make a profit and crap all over the MAIN group that's feeding this organization (motocross).

I don’t get why people keep putting out this fake news that wsx is paying riders great. Very few of them actually make good money. Some make no money.

this is by no means saying outdoors pays well.

I would argue that if Sexton wasn't there pushing Jett that it would not have been 40 seconds. Jett should learn from Eli's mistake and not try and beat the field by a minute and a half.

Had 5 guys not been injured no one gives a shit. MX always gets the short end of the stick, it follows a 17 race Supercross series. There is money to be made right now for privateers, contingency money plus easy points for a better seeding in SMX.

Outdoors pays peanuts , some guys are on big bucks in wsx , others aren’t but still earning more than they would be doing the outdoors , with less Risk , less rounds and not slogging it round America in a van struggling to earn enough to do the following round

Only one guy is on big bucks in wsx. I’m very close to a rider racing wsx and from what he has told me very few are making good money at wsx. I take him at his word. I’m not talking crap about wsx as I enjoy it and think it has it’s place but people are highly misinformed and frequently talk about the “big bucks” wsx guys are making. It’s just not true. More than outdoors though.

1. 125's as a feeder team.

2. do away with the ridiculous CC rule for the 250's.

3.a "c" rider could race a semi stock bike until needed to fill in for an injured "A" or "B" rider .

4. lots of prospects in the privateer ranks this season.

That’s more my point they’ve got 6 spread out rounds and will still earn more than if they were doing the nationals , from a riders point of view it must be more stressful and more rewarding financially

I think the “C-E” riders could be on a factory supported satellite team with flexible contracts to move up when needed.
