More disappointing than Trump in the completely spineless GOP. They need to take back ownership of the party and set a course for beyond 2028. Instead they cower to a man who has obviously loss touch with reality.

Throughout Trump’s reign I supported his reluctance to get in military skirmishes. They simply didn’t make sense and were not worth the risk (and money). Iran is a full reversal that violates every tenant.

If this is true, what are your thoughts on the GOP senate majority not passing the SAVE America act, despite Trump's demands?

GOP pressed the easy button. Rejecting SAVE only requires a vote. Reining in Trump’s military decisions is an entirely different situation.

The president is the CinC, and every service member is under his command. This is by design but not without limitations.  The deployment of personnel and resources typically requires congressional oversight, which Trump bypassed. It is the duty of Congress to provide the checks & balances against a runaway executive branch. They are completely failing at this task, and the November elections may reflect it.

Pretty much just need to listen to MXMatti and believe the opposite. And then when it plays out exactly opposite of his predictions, he'll tell us it was all a distraction from Epstein.

So you're saying he should have bombed N Korea? Since we are still at war with them? He's already got congressional approval for that?

The big American leader is begging for help. He's begging those irrelevant European countries to help him at the Strait of Hormuz. 🤣

@ToolMaker the USA didn't needed Europe, wasn't that what you were saying? 😅🙄

Well, Trump called Kim Jong Un a friend, so probably not. Plus NK’s big brother packs a mighty punch. But hey, there’s always tomorrow!

To be honest I'm jealous that this brainless high-school drop out who's giggling like a teenaga girl while interviewing his cult leader is pounding Jutta Leerdam! 😮‍💨

So N Korea was 3 things that Iran didn’t have, nuclear weapons, Thermo nuclear weapons and ICBM’s that can hit the USA.  But I guess they don’t have Bibi getting Trump to attack them.

That's 3 things Cuba, Greenland, Canada, Panama and Ecuador need to consider.

I wish conservatives actually believed that an armed society is a polite society because it is true.

Let’s not forget oil. NK’s economy relies 100% on China and its subsidies, while Iran has a universally demanded product. There’s no hypothetical that results in a net benefit by attacking NK.

Whether Iran was actually close to possessing a deliverable nuke is TBD. Even so, they understand that deploying such a device would result in an unprecedented response from Israel and the west.  If some believe their “Death to Israel” mantra would have them pulling the trigger anyway, then that same logic applies today with their conventional inventories. This campaign will likely extend far longer than Trump imagined. He’s not the first president to make this miscalculation, and he won’t be the last.

North Korea is a completely different situation. I don’t think they want to destroy anyone that doesn’t think like them and take over the world.

North Korea’s says its main enemy is the USA. They have threatened us with nukes before.  So  I’m not sure you are the person to ask then. I do believe you when you say “ I don’t think”

Not political post, just trying to understand the status of the war. The media has been very lacking on the specifics at least for me.  Sounds like we asked NATO for help and received a unanimous no. Does that mean we’re stretched thin? I don’t believe we are okay with current regime change in Iran. Will there be expectations to correct that? Or will we negotiate with new regime?  The Iranian people have not had an opportunity to change the theocracy it seems.

Just curious if there is an end in sight and what the definition of success means. Doesn’t seem to be a clear answer in the media.

Kind of hard for the.media to be specific and have any answers, when the ones waging war are winging it on the go with no plan.

There will be no regime change, the regime is deeply embedded in Iranian society.

There was no plan to begin with or objectives of what was it going to be in the future. It’s the high school football team military.  That also why the media is having issues here. Well except Fox right.  But it’s not a war!😂

The media is owned and operated by the same group that is waging this war.

Turn off your TV. It will never tell you the truth
