I've used keto when I wanted to bring my weight down for a jiu jitsu tournament. It's pretty sustainable for me but I choose not to maintain for too long.
2. If they cannot present evidence and simply resort to name calling & taking personal shots at me, what else are they but hacks? I’ve asked for very specific evidence on claims that carbs are essential and nobody can answer the call
The most vocal critics of keto have tried saying keto was high protein. While also saying vegan was not high carb. Both blatantly false statements on pretty basic aspects of this topic.
It is what it is.
It’s as difficult to navigate as the actual physical sugar addiction. Probably more so.
Only doing a 5,5,5 basic workout on my pullup station.
5 exercises, 5 reps min, 5 times a day.
The trainer wasnt a big fan of western philosophy of lifting until sore. Didnt feel the inflamation was healthy long term. Nor did he think it got the fastest results. He was putting a focus on overall reps per year.
Pretty interesting podcast episode. So I decided to give it a try. Made my own “farmer strong” program.
Every morning when I roll out of bed & every night right before bed. I do the following:
1 pushup
1 pullup
1 ab roller
1 lunge jump
1 min jump rope
Every week I add a rep. Been doing it for 35 weeks now. So it’s 35 pushups, 35 pullups, etc. (I’ve been slacking on the jumprope).
In total, I currently do 490 pushups per week. Never coming close to my max reps in one set, yet the number of reps over the course of a year will be exponentially higher than if I was working out my chest (for example) really hard & then waiting for that muscle group to heal before I could work it out again.
It’s required a lot of patience. But now Im doing a number of pullups never even remotely possible before. When I started my max was 5.
Im never sore. And this is incredibly efficient as it takes very little time. Just slowly but surely building a base. Probably not conducive to putting on mass. But after 2 years I’ll be able to do 100 pushups in a row which is pretty cool. We’ll see if I add any mass or not. Definitely building strength.
How do you overcome the oxidation stress?
Not being a dick here. Just asking. Not gonna pretend I’m an expert. I’m not. But that keynote I sat in on had hard evidence and damn if I can’t get it. No response from the speaker. But the guys real busy I understand.
The next question that should be asked is “are there actually ESSENTIAL antioxidants?”
To answer your question tho, (organic) animal based food are higher in most vitamins & minerals. Often easier to metabolize as well. And provide precursors to natural antioxidants so that the body produces its own antioxidants.
I feel and look the best I have in 20 years. Just the facts of what works for me.
There are many pathways that work for people but the OCD OP will deny this to his grave lmao.
Sure, there are many things you can feed a cow (corn, soy, their own brains) but they’re really only made to be out grazing on grass.
You can feed your dog almost anything and they’ll eat it. But they’re only made to eat raw meat.
And here you are making the claim that your basic functions of your liver & metabolism are somehow different than the rest of humanities.
You’re eating better than you did before. Doesnt mean you’re eating your best. And the fact that you think that humans all have different requirements despite being the same species is hilariously flawed.

You’re eating better than you did before (congrats btw, sounds like you eliminated a lot of the worst stuff). Doesnt mean you’re eating your best. And the fact that you think that humans all have different requirements despite being the same species is hilariously flawed.
It’s the equivalent of a motocross rider whom is also anti-fossil fuels. So they convince themselves their bike runs better with water mixed into the gas.
Looking forward to hitting 190 and then going to start lifting again. Goal is 190-200 and solid. Well on my way now and its honestly been effortless.
We're going for donuts tomorrow. 1 donut each and then back to it. Big whoop. We're planning to have a cheat meal like that once a month and plan it around whatever events come our way. Bday parties we go to, dinners whatever special case it may be. Plan for it and can be a normal person have a slice or two of pizza or whatever and then back to it.
Excited about it all. Thank you jabroni for doing as much effort as you have in educating those of us who wanted to learn i appreciate it.
Keep a restroom close after that donut. You’re far enough into ketosis that you’ll probably get a upset stomach from the cheat.
Post your gym routine & progress. Im interested in the different methods.

Thanks Jabroni for the tips and guidance. You are passionate about this avenue and are trying to help others. In this day and age it is not worth it to try and change minds but just offer suggestions and lead by example. People have their reasons for going different directions, right or wrong. I quit trying to convince people anything long ago and just hope for the best on their journey.
I have a goal of around 190, once i get down there i plan to start some weight lifting, purely for my own goals.
But to lose 20lbs in 5 weeks with zero cardio, and really zero effort blows my mind. Ive been nearly 100% on point with every meal, every day and it really just isnt that hard to stay on track.
Easier than anything ive done before. I do really feel like your body is meant to run this way with how much easier it is, how much better i feel etc.

I love tuna so I have to figure out way of combining it with tomatoes and avocados without the bread. I'm sure I'll find something on line. My son is the manager of the meat dept at Sprouts so he is my meat dealer. I'm 65 and 210. I will back off and adjust at 190. It's a blood pressure issue now or I wouldn't have bothered but I'm glad I am eating better and will easily maintain 50 or less carb grams/day for as long as I want. I'm probably less than 25/day now but at some point I will slowly bring some potatoes back in and some bread. A tuna sandwich on sourdough with tomato and avocado is waiting for me at 190. THAT is motivation.
I have only been on this for a week but so far no problems.
