Pork shoulder i cooked slow on a rack in the grill. My lettuce tower is amazing for year around veggies. I didn't mean to put the taco in there. Was saving it to post with a bunch of recent tacos and wraps and enchiladas.

Oh man that looks tasty!
Great job on the lettuce tower--you have become quite the Gardner. I'm green with envy as I tried to grow some herbs out here in AZ with no luck.... Evil

Will have to try again.

Thanks G! I can not take the credit for the tower. It comes with the nutrients, your choice of 1" seedlings and an app that notifies you when to add nutrients, water and check ph. All included in the kit. So simple. We got one for the inlaw and had salads in less than 2 weeks so we were sold and got ourselves one. We liked how well it works and now I am running our hydroponic rail system using the towers reservoir and nutrients and its the best it ever produced. We just ordered one for our daughter who also has the rail system. I just started using their nutrients in my Dutch bucket system too and all seems to be doing amazing. Thanks again. https://lettucegrow.com/

I've never had fresh cooked calamari. How does it taste?
It’s kind of hard to describe. It’s not rubbery like octopus. It has that seafood taste and smell but, not overbearing. The nicest thing is the selection of breading you choose, that’ll dictate the outcome of it. Just do yourself and your family a favor and use the deep fryer OUTSIDE. Nothing like an angry wife because family from out of state is coming and the house smells like the nastiest fish market on the planet.
Sometimes I learn things the hard way lol.
If your apprehensive about cooking it yourself and just want to try it, the calamari at Olive Garden isn’t half bad.

When I was a kid my local track was Lockhart stadium and my Dad would sign me up and then like clockwork he would run across the street to his favorite place Dirty Harry's Raw Bar and bring me a big order of calamari to snack on. Love calamari. His best buddies owned Florida Fish Packing company and they would fry us up fresh calamari regularly. Never cooked it myself even though I have caught and swam with many years ago. Delicious.

Is it crazy that I've eaten Smoked Turkey for the last 4 nights and savoured every single bite!!??? Woohoo
My presentation isn't near what you guys have going on but it's tasty.

Tonight is Turkey soup I could eat Turkey a lot during the year gonna have to get a small external freezer to put in the garage when the Turkeys are on sale. I would like to throw them in there. Once or twice a year is not enough Yardbird for me I don't like fish so my selection is limited and I need to watch my red meat intake although I luv that too.

Any suggestions on small external freezers?

Hey G! I got a GE Garage Ready chest freezer this year.

They are built well and with the fluctuations in temps up here, it modulates the cooling based on ambient temps. Also has a handy light on the front of it that lets you know it is working properly. That makes it nice because everytime you drive in/out of the garage, you can see that all is well inside it.

Hanging in there. Been three days of feeling miserable. I’m taking vitamin c, vitamin d, zinc comes in the mail tomorrow. Stores are all sold out of it.

Thanks for asking brother!

Hope I don't turn into a Yardbird like Kramer!

My guess is you're going to turn the corner in the next day or so and start feeling better. That's my prayer anyway.

Making a devils food cake for my moms birthday. Had to stop so I could wrap it and will finish Thursday. One more layer plus icing and then an Oreo crumble to finish it off

Cake looks delicious!
Past weekend I made some venison stew. Fresh meat from my own back yard/mx track. So good, I bet it could pass for beef stew.

Nothing too fancy but very hearty to make and eat while watching the snow come down.

Cube steak in the slow cooker, sliced celery, carrots and potato and smothered in gravy for 6 hours. Then, piled it up on top of steaming noodles. Tasty

Anyone have any traditional meals for Christmas they make? We usually make a turkey or prime rib on Christmas Eve. Or Christmas Day.

Not really sure what we are doing this year. Trying to keep it a little more simple this year I think.

We completely missed Thanksgiving so think I’m gonna go for the bacon wrapped mini Turducken. So damn good.
