My wife makes a killer meatloaf. Wrapped in bacon. Fresh sliced jalapeno from her garden on top. Drizzled with A-1 sauce and onion gravy. Mashed potatoes and corn on the side. Last nights was the best ever.

I'll share a recipe if I can get one. It's been years of refinement so there is nothing she measures. It's all about "feel".
It was glistening with flavor.
I'm a food snob and I will put that right up against the best things I eat.
There is beauty in simplicity.
She makes another dish we call "beans and cornbread". This is a depression era meal. She uses Lima beans, Cajun smoked ham hocks, ham chunks, seasoning. It's literally one of the best things I've eaten.
Probably costs less then $15 to feed a family of 6. And is absolutely amazing!
It's certainly not like eating a bowl of kale. But it's not fried fast food either.
Sunday breakfast here. Pancakes cooked with butter to a lightly crisped edge. Applewood bacon lightly crispy and fresh squeezed tangelo juice with all the pulp in it.
Dishwasher safe fine china for the win!
