Seriously, have you ever heard a bad show from Jason? Always smooth, educated and interesting. Great job in spite of the MAV TV issues and working with a completely new lineup in the booth, none of which are professional announcers.

Always impressive.

As JT mentioned in the Pulp review podcast, the man has so much going on during the day as well, with all his RacerX obligations on top. Crazy how sharp he generally is. Can forgive the odd slip up, like saying Hunter won the race Laughing

Weigant is a treasure to MX. I thought him McGrath and RJ made a great team, they'll only get better too.

RJ worked with Art Ekman announcing AX when it was huge. Fastest action there is and did a Great job. McGrath has been in the booth a # of times. I,m sure they pay his expenses and his daily rate. You could say there both Profeshenals. Kinda funny when Jason called hunter Jett when he won. Mc and RJ both said Jett.

We should be thankful every single day Weege stays in our tiny little world. I would assume with his skills and talent he could move on to much bigger arenas if he wanted to.
Think Jenny Taft.
It's also pretty incredible how universal his praise is here on Vital. Usually we'll argue about the sky being blue.

He's the obvious choice for the Supercross gig, I have never figured out why he gets passed over for it.

Weigant is really good at what he does. He does make mistakes you just don’t really catch them because like you said, he is always smooth. I would consider him, RJ, and MC all professional announcers. RJ more over MC, but MC is no stranger to the booth and cameras. Weigant has for sure came a long ways since his Gncc days.

I think he is kind of quirky and annoying. He is also not nearly as attractive as Jenny either, so I think it is safe to say he's staying in mx for a while.

I mean he is quirky, for sure. Not annoying to me. And of course he ain't no Jenny.
Kind of my point though, the harshest words about him are "kind of annoying."

Daniel Blair is better.

Daniel Blair is excellent on the mic. He rarely makes errors and routinely calls things from a racers perspective. He’s a racer who learned to broadcast.

Weege is a fan who learned to broadcast. The energy that comes from someone who is a lifelong, diehard fan without being jaded by the actual things it takes to race at the level Daniel and even more so Ricky is totally different.

Tbh, the dream duo for SX would be Weege and Blair.

This is my take, too. Blair is excellent - and as a former racer he fills the role of color commentator perfectly. Weege is a play-by-play announcer, and the best guy for our sport in that role.
